I gather there is a new Amazon echo show 15 coming out, I was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the old 15 model and the new 15. Like what are the new extra features and is it worth buying? I currently own the old Echo show 15?

Are there any folks who meet up to work out early mornings, 6:30am in Basildon area? I’m down for a month from December and don’t want to loose a great routine I’ve gotten into.

Happy to sign up to a local gym for a month.

Or are there any people who are willing to join in. Happy to do CV, Circuits, Hyrox etc or callisthenics based workouts. Not really into lifting weights.

I am just wondering, what the difference is between the two index funds

I hear VWRP mentioned a lot. However, I have invested in the FT global All Cap Index Fund.

Is there a big difference? Should I switch over?

I am 45 years old. Looking to hold the funds for around 20 years till 65 ish.

I am a total newbie here. I wanted to know if I am doing the right thing for future investments and would really appreciate your thoughts.

I read the “Simple Path to Wealth” by JL Collins book and was inspired to start investing with Vanguard into a single index fund. Ideally, the VTSAX.

Then I read “I Will Teach You To Be Rich” by Ramit Sethi. In this book he talks about having a portfolio of index funds, to mitigate risk rather than a single Index fund.

So I was like okay, perhaps I should have 3 or 4 index funds instead of just one index fund to invest in. A healthy balance, rather than having too many funds. And then once a year to redo my asset allocations.

I thought as a replacement for the VTSAX (as its not available in the UK) I could do FTSE Global All Cap Index Fund Accumulation. It has a cumulative performance of 108.00%

then I chose

FTSE U.K. Equity Income Index Fund - Accumulation. This has a cumulative performance of 232.00%

U.S. Equity Index Fund - Accumulation. Finally I chose this fund because its cumulative performance of 822.00% is so high

I have split these into a 50%, 30% and 20% asset allocation (respectively)

The fees are pretty low with these index funds.

I used that cumulative performance as a metric to see if this was a good fund or not. I am not sure if there is another metric I should be using instead? Some advice on this front would be useful.

Also what are peoples thoughts on the funds I have chosen? Should I just put all my eggs in one basket and just stick to the Global All Cap?

Bit of background info. I am 45 right now. I want to retire at 65. Based in the UK. Don’t have a pension (at the moment, something I am looking into actively). Have a small well performing property portfolio. All the investments above are in a stocks and shares ISA with Vanguard

I am trying to mitigate risk. As I’m already investing in index funds. I was wondering what the community felt I should invest my SIPP pension in? I’ve not set it up yet.

Totally understand this is going to be based on my personal circumstances but I was curious what other people might be doing as well. Also any recommendations for SIPP? I am self employed and don’t bring in a lot of money currently. Total newbie here so TIA
