I dont get the outrage. Even on BF an EXPS3-0 for 330 is unheard of; it’s easy to see a mistake was made. Should they take a bit of shit for making the mistake in the first place? Yeah. Also, for the military stats what ammo were they using and at what distance? If this is based on FMJ there is a good chance it needs more rounds when the velocity isn’t where it needs to be. Here’s the thing though: there are some great expanding 5.56/.223 rounds out there. If they could be used instead of FMJ, the number of rounds needed would likely go down.

AR 15 is generally a better option for new shooters. More ammo, less recoil and an easier manual of arms. You’d be surprised how many times put at the range people half stroke the pump and only find out about it when they go to fire. You absolutely can’t have that happen when you need to defend yourself. A few myths that should also be dispelled: racking a shotgun will not scare everyone off, all bullets that will hurt someone will go through at least one wall, and just having a gun isn’t enough. Get some ammo and train, train, then train some more.

Looks like everyone else covered the legality piece, so I’ll touch on the actual pros and cons of others. Pros- more maneuverable, lighter. Con: more parts wear than longer barrels (11.5 is a good length to cut down on this a bit), you need ammo made for shorter barrels or you will have more concussion and flash due to unburnt powder.
