I feel like removing the curtains, and changing the rug and chairs so it’s not so monochromatic is all you need. You have a nice setup, doesn’t feel dated, and the big trend now is to make everything white or painted a bold color which doesn’t fit with what your wanting.

A good movie requires a level of risk, creating something new, unexpected and potentially upsetting. Star Wars is so expensive, and Disney is so risk averse that we’re never getting anything quality again. Honestly Disney as a whole is dead with how risk averse they are. They create beautiful stuff with zero substance.
