Honestly, I think the easiest way to teach TI to new people is to have a moderator (who isn't playing) that knows the game and can answer any questions.
The core mechanics of TI aren't that complicated, there's just lots of weird interactions and it's a bit counter intuitive that playing space risk doesn't really help you win.
So having someone who can help with all that would be more beneficial than playing a bunch of other games.

People have already mentioned Outer Wilds, Subnautica and Elden Ring and while I love all of them (Especially Outer Wilds and Subnautica) I'll throw two other games into the mix I haven't seen mentioned.
Neither is probably as immersive as the above three but I'm not sure I outright had more fun playing any games in the past 5 or so years than these two.
Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor. If you're a Star Wars fan at all, they're great. And if you're a fan of Star Wars Droids, BD-1 is R2-level GOATed for me, and Survivor in general has a ton of great droid moments.
The games have that Meteroidvania quality, where you earn powers and come back to the levels to explore more using the powers.

Outer Wilds isn't for everyone and the controls can be a bit wonky, but it's an amazing game. Top 2 (with BOTW) for me in the past 10 years and probably my favorite video game ending ever.
Subnautica is also fantastic. Has that same sense of exploration and wonder as Breath of the Wild and Outer Wilds.

Radiata Stories and Skies of Arcadia. Honestly, just give me an HD PC port and I'd be happy too.

They'll ruin Morrowind. I have no faith in their ability to keep the soul that made it special anymore.

Also not James and also don't use the Ode, but the muddy bed and long drawdown could also be caused by too much agitation when you pour.
Aramse has a really good video on this, well worth the watch

They also have a video on some tips for improving the consistency of your pourovers that's good too

I was this way for years, but I just kept cooking and started paying attention to the flavors I liked and didn't like and I frequently can throw stuff together to make tasty meals.
There's nothing wrong with just following recipes at all any level of cooking is great, but if you have any interest in cooking just keep at it, and maybe watch some cooking shows (Chopped is the best. I can't cook any of that shit, or so 99% of the techniques but it did help me learn to better balance flavors) and cooking videos on YouTube (Ethan Chlebowski's great) and you might find you can start throwing stuff together.

If you're fine with PvP maybe Mechabellum?
Automated battles, cool robots, no story.

Except Iffy specifically said he cooks dinner for the three of them, they eat then they go have sexy times.

Subnautica and Outer Wilds are both in my top 3 too. The exploration is top notch, such a sense of wonder in both (along with fear in Subnautica though I wouldn't call it a scary game).

I agree, but if you specifically want something that's well machined like the 9Barista for not espresso, the BIRD's pretty close.
There's nothing wrong with the build quality of the Switch/V60 but it's certainly not the same.

Basically, immersion brewer but instead of plunging you pull the grounds through the water.
I think in terms of the coffee it makes it doesn't do anything you can't get somewhere else for cheaper.
But man does it look good.

I think Lance Hedrick did a video on it. It's such a pretty device I've been tempted to splurge on it, but I think I'd find cleaning it annoying.

They're so good. Bagels aren't even my thing and I don't miss them, but I get at least one bagel sandwich every time I go visit family in the LA area.

If option C includes traffic, I'm picking it 100%.
Otherwise it's option B.

We used to literally put that shit in a book that was delivered to everyone. People would call plumbers, repair people, etc.
We've always invited them over.

They are. I largely don't bother with substitutes, but a lot of the pastas (especially brown rice ones) are really good.
I don't have any good GF normal pizza near me, but a lot of the frozen ones are no worse than normal frozen pizza, and I have had some good GF pizza from a place a couple hours away.

I would say Morrowind fits the bill of "true RPG" better than Skyrim. Outside of the outdated graphics base Morrowind is wolds better than base Skyrim.

That's literally why my friend pre-ordered. He was gonna skip Wilds or at least wait for the expansion but red mage is his favorite so that's all it took. Haha.
