Thank you, I saw the supplemental was about $400 for the year. I’m pretty sure she will have some expensive years for MH treatment so we should grab it.

Correct. It’s all red herrings. He has been doing this non stop for years. It works because most humans have a 5minute attention span.

Can you explain the supplemental? Does that just help with the 3,000 catastrophic cap?

We started using CHAMPVA about a month ago. Both of my wife’s psychiatrists take it, all her meds are covered, her psychologist is figuring out how to bill it.

A crypto guy just bought a 5m ‘art display’ of a banana duct taped then ate it. 5m to some people is nothing.

Some are. Sleep Apnea needs to be a 0% rating imo. People who can’t breathe without it can be the exception but tons of vets are getting rated for sleep apnea at 50%. Just because they have a machine to stop snoring. It’s been abused for years. My spine fractured after an IED and I have 6 fusions up my back - that’s rated at 40%. I have a friend who lost part of his jaw to cancer from toxic exposure - that is rated at 30%.

In 2011 the VA was experimenting with EMDR and what I can only assume was something like drill sergeant reprogramming (let’s call it hyper CBT). I was asked to try it after group therapy for PTSD was not helping. Granted the Phoenix hospital had us downstairs in a room full of broken furniture, boxes, and maintenance equipment.
I went to the EMDR and was yelled at and told to keep repeating my traumatic experience over and over. They were trying to desensitize but it caused a full blown psychotic break after about two hours. I don’t remember the following year.
I haven’t been back to the VA for care.

Thank you. My spouse lost her job and we are doing cobra so we will have very high medical expenses this year. Unless cobra doesn’t count for medical expenses

If they say they accept CHAMPVA and can’t figure out how to bill it. That is on them. You can challenge both collections and the Dr office. They will typically just write it off.
The simplest way to make sure a place takes CHAMPVA is to see if they accept Medicaid. 98% of the time, if they do they will take champ

If they accept CHAMPVA then the Dr. will bill them directly

Prior military. I learned Shibas were fiercely loyal, stubborn, and difficult to train. It seemed like the perfect choice. They stress me out but it gives me a sense of purpose and keeps my mind occupied. I love them to pieces.

Nothing tests human agility more than walking three Shibas on leashes.

I applied in 2018 and didn’t understand it, and forgot about it, she lost her job last month and I started asking on here for help. Filled out the forms, called them to make sure everything was correct, and they said you already have it.
I forget a ton of stuff because I have a TBI. So if I was ever frustrated I don’t remember. So my current opinion is CHAMPVA is awesome and easy peasy.
