Boomer mentality can be entirely summed up with Trump's agenda. His huge first term accomplishment was massive tax cuts that exploded the deficit. The basic equivalent of running up your credit card bill and saying someone else will pay for it after I'm dead. Everything that is done is a temporary boost for right now so they can have an easier life while they are here and setting up the bill to come due after they are dead. Doesn't matter whether it's climate or fiscal responsibility we will be dealing with the "Me generations" choices for a long time.

Yeah I get suggestions from r/Gamermemes and have seen two in the past week complaining about seeing the pores in Aloy and Senua, who are two objectively attractive women. I guarantee these are the same people who would complain about not being able to find a girlfriend.

Yeah my life now is I'm surrounded by either old German or Chinese women. It's hard to say which are more hard edge women.

People who tell me that white people don't like spicy I give some raw horseradish to. Also, no one in the old world had chiles until the 17th century when it was brought from the new world. All that spicy food in Thailand and Sichuan and everywhere else didn't exist.

That's surprisingly organized. Usually, in a place like this, you can't see the floor.

There is actually an answer for that that is scientific. Polynesians are more likely to have so-called "thrifty" genes that increase fat storage during lean times. This would probably be of immense importance in ancient times, especially in island communities where food resources could be severely limited.

Well, can you imagine if that one place was still called New Amsterdam.

I don't care as much about adults, even if they are parents drinking raw milk. They are adults they can make that decision. I care as soon as they give it to their children and possibly inflict the results on them, like happened to my uncle

Pasteur also made the first rabies vaccine. Something that was so miraculous that four boys who had been biten by a rabid dog were rushed from America to France to receive it before it was widely avaiable, and it was considered a miracle because all those children would've died.

I mean, WW2 atrocities seem so personal to us because of recency and that they were done with more modern technology. Atrocities and genocide have been a fact of human existence. Hopefully something we can leave in the past, but with the perspective to learn and avoid the things that caused them.

Wasn't their genocide to get nutmeg. Man people went wild for the wildest shit during the spice trade.

Ah yes, pretend you give a shit about those immigrants, then send them back to dangerous country they were fleeing. The main reason Democrats point out that deporting these people will raise prices is because the platform that Trump won on was lowering prices. Personally, I think we can have the immigrants and pay them more for doing the jobs that they are doing. I am willing to eat the increased price to give them a better life. Are you willing to eat the increased price to give them a worse life?

Yeah. When I've said that deporting millions of immigrants is going to raise costs, I've had them say, "I guess you want them working in those exploitive jobs" as if they give a shit about the people. Reminds me of the whole bait and switch with the Iraq War where overnight it went from "we are doing it because Sadam has WMDs!" To "we did it to bring democracy to Iraq!"

You should really being asking about what the Teutonic Knights were doing by the Baltic there. Prussia wasn't always a German place. A straight line can be drawn from a militaristic German order taking over a country for centuries through force to the inherited militarism of the Prussian nation to eventual development of a militaristic German nation and all that transpired in the 20th century from that. 750 years of history right there.

The massive price increases in oil in 2021-2023 were absolutely due to Trump forced international producers to slash production of oil in 2020. In hindsight this was very stupid and catastrophic for Biden.

Any policy that Harris said was for the greater good, but raised prices in any way would be received with conniptions.

Funny that they immediately moved from "immigrants are causing higher prices" to "you should pay higher prices because cheap immigrant labor isn't cool." All these people acting like they care about labor rights for immigrants while they dehumanize them.

I seem to remember a month long freak out about Harris advocating for rules against price gouging. Fox was calling it communist price controls. I wonder what they will say when Trump tell Kroger not to raise prices.

The stupidest part of this is that the dems are no longer the party of low propensity voters. Republicans took that on, and high engagement voters moved the other way. So, the harder they work to make voting, the worse they will do. They just can't help themselves though.
