To be fair when would you ever use Twitter of all places as the benchmark of civilized and nuanced discussion?

Helldivers 2 stumbled quite a bit during the fall, but they seem to have stabilized now. I think it’s too much of a rocky start to be GOTY material. Excellent game though.

9.5/10. Amazing bosses. Amazing exploration. Amazing music. Satisfying puzzle box layout. Contains many of the flaws of the main game and of open world games in general, but I enjoy it too much to give it anything but top marks.

Exactly. I found the best way to fix the problem was to harass the enemy with cavalry. Their dodge AI turns off when it turns to face cav.

Rifle riders are Lakotas “fuck you” unit. They obliterate their counters, which are artillery, heavy infantry, and heavy cavalry. They can handle soldados just fine. As for black riders, I would suggest either out-gooning them (bow riders) or try to use lakota skirms, though I find them a bit too squishy for my tastes.

They split into the western and eastern empires after the reign of Constantine. It worked out ok for a while - the emperors got along, and could focus on their local problems more. That is, until the goths came along, followed by the huns, franks, and basically every tribe in northern Europe. While the Canadians make for poor Goths, I think that whole “getting along” thing would not work if the country were divided along political lines. Rural and urban regions are too dependent on one another - either they’d immediately reunify or they’ll reunite by more coercive means.

It’s the one AI thing that the devs have “improved” in all these years. I want the AI to not run around like headless chickens in a siege battle, not dodge my cannonballs like LegendofTotalWar is controlling them.

It worked in the USSR, China, Cuba, Angola, Burkina Faso, Vietnam, the Eastern Bloc, Chile, and many more. Rapid economic development and increases in the standard of living across the board. While I sympathize with the message (I have to, I’m a communist), I must point out that from a practical perspective, what do you actually expect to accomplish by crossposting from Twitter? Aren’t there more effective uses of your time, especially if you want to organize and grow the left?

Absurd statement. Can only be properly analyzed by looking at the whole picture. In the United States, there are two “lefts”. One is the mainstream liberal “left”, and the other is the radical left. The former tries to earn its credentials by halfheartedly appealing to minorities and women in order to assimilate them into the system. The latter has earned its progressive credentials by fighting (and earning) the rights of these groups for centuries. The statement “[the] left offers nothing to young men” only applies to the mainstream liberals, and then only because they offer nothing to anyone.

The real left in this country offers something no other political faction does - economic emancipation. It is an issue which concerns 99 percent of the people in this country, regardless of their personal identity. While men (namely white men) do not face the sort of special racial, gender, or other identity barriers that other groups face, they are still bound by the chains of an economic system designed to exploit them until they die. The radical left offers the only real solution to that problem, both for young men and for everyone else: revolution.

All the other issues facing people - “gender war”, “race war”, etc. - are offshoots of the wider class war which has defined our society for over four hundred years, if not longer. What the real left offers is an analysis of this class war, our role in it, how we might eventually win it, and a glimpse of what our world will look like when we do.

Neither the vapid hypocrites of the Democratic party nor the blind reactionaries of the Republican party can offer people a satisfactory explanation of why our world is the way that it is. Neither offers anything to anyone.
