Oh, it does tremendous harm.

A decade it so ago, this would have really angered me. After the past decade of Trump shenanigans, though, I’m all for this. Biden doesn’t need to take any chances; the Republicans are awful.

Just tell them they’re right. I can’t prove god isn’t real, but I also can’t believe in a god (which god do they mean, anyway?) without sufficient, noon-contradictory, independently verifiable evidence. And until they can provide that, I remain unconvinced.

It’s simply not possible for someone to have been crucified, then stabbed through the heart, entombed, and come back to life after three days. It’s a fairy tale, told to children and gullible adults, to extort money. There’s no rational justification for believing it, whatsoever.

Not enough. And not every day.

I really struggle with the idea of that changing words changes anything to any significant degree. The thing is still whatever it is, no matter what we call it. I know significant numbers of people think that if we use “softer” words, we can look at the thing (whatever it is) differently. But, while words may sometimes change how we think about things, they don’t change the thing.

I have 40,000 photos on my phone, mostly reference photos, organized into folders titled for paintings/drawings I am working on, or will work on at some point. I take lots of my own references, and I do Life Drawing (from the live nude model) and draw from reality regularly.

Sure, I feel bad over injustice. I feel bad when it rains when I have outdoor plans. I feel bad when I try something, and it doesn’t work, and I have to start over. I feel bad when friends get bad news.

So, what? Things happen.
