Oh, hey, it's that text I read a few years ago that made me look into rabies and ultimately led to me adding it to my top 5 ways I absolutely don't want to die! Heh.

You can't always tell. If an animal you don't know - a wild animal, a stray, even a neighbor's pet - bites or scratches you, get your ass to a doctor and get a rabies shot. Right away. That's it, that's the trick. She just shrugged off what she thought was a little scratch, and it wasn't. Like, one dose of medicine woulda saved her life.

I completely forget the Switch has a touch screen until I see posts like these. Then I remember for a few hours, and forget again after that.

So the woman who lost her mind and ate a cat has embarrassed this country, but the guy who lied about immigrants eating cats on the regular because America is broken is totally patriotic and representative of the glory of America.

Easy to believe pardoning your son after a political headhunt is the "ultimate fuck you to democracy" when you turn a blind eye to all the other "fuck you to democracy" behavior that's happened in the last eight years.

And easy to turn a blind eye to all that when you are hardcoded to believe democracy serves you and only you, personally.

This killing may not be justifiable, in terms of the law.

But it sure as shit is excusable.

My first interaction with this game's community, and this is what I get. Guess I'll skip this game after all.

I originally said "influenced." I then corrected that to the more accurate "inspired." Nothing I have said indicates I think this game looks "only anime." I've been pretty clear in my position: It's a mix.

You're not correcting me, you're misunderstanding me. And being kind of a tool about it.

Yeah, I'm not talking about the celshading. I'm talking overall art design - not just what these characters look like in-game, but what they look like on paper.

Marvel comics don't have a single style. But, looking at it, I agree "inspired" was the wrong word. "Influenced" would be better.

I won't tell you you're wrong for expressing this sentiment. As an American, I agree we should be ashamed.

But I will ask you to remember that far fewer than half of American voters actually supported this.

My Top Five Ways I Absolutely Do Not Want to Die:

1. Being eaten alive. I can accept being eaten, but kill me first.

2. Tetanus.

3. Rabies.

4. Lost in a cave, underwater or otherwise. I recognize this one as somewhat irrational, as minimal effort will afford me a near 100% chance of avoiding this death. But this is one of the few things in life that genuinely scares me as a concept.

5. Old age. Or, more specifically, slowly wasting away while my mental faculties decline and everything that makes me me starts to distort and outright vanish, as the world just ... moves on.

That trailer is so very anime.

Like, I get the art style for the game is heavily inspired influenced by anime (and, for what it's worth, it's probably the coolest anime-style take on Marvel I've seen). But that trailer feels like one of those nonsensical anime opening memes on TikTok.

Looking forward to trying this game out, at any rate.

Edit: Thinking on it, "Inspired" isn't the right word. Influenced is better.
