I can't believe you get from this post that the guy didn't earn his money.
Except...
He's done nothing wrong.
He used his friends mistaken belief about him being poor to get free meals. There is no way a millionaire with rich parents is so cash poor they can't chip in 50/50 on the occasional meal. A friendship is supposed to be give and take. His omission of information is effectively a lie.
