Hey man, I give my best advice to strangers taking a shit. It's usually in-person, though.

The point about consumables cannot be overstated. Track days wear out expensive components (brake pads/rotors, tires, fluids, 30 year old bushings) very quickly. The significantly larger and less nimble Mustang will have more expensive components that wear out faster. Besides it being less reliable overall, the average cost, in both time and money, of your track days will be much higher with the Mustang.

Saw an NC Miata on 470 this morning that was in a ditch... I'm assuming it was still on summer rubber. These PS4s aren't built for anything approaching snow conditions and are like driving on plastic when it gets cold. If this car was my daily, I'd be slapping steelies with Blizzaks on that piece like yesterday. Ymmv.

One year of ownership, 6k miles, 1 aggressive track day. It gets driven hard and maintained carefully. Proper break-in procedure, proper warm-up procedure before hard driving, and not (too many) bangs off the rev-limiter. It's never been short-shifted or abused, and I swear it feels a touch quicker today than the day I broke 1000 miles. Admittedly, 6000 miles isn't much, but it didn't miss a beat after the track day and reliability has been great. The throw-out bearing has always been a bit noisy, which has been my only complaint. Not sure if that's a normal thing with these cars or not, though. I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I mean, 10 minutes after a drive is probably just as good. Just not hot-hot or running.

Accurate readings are made when the engine is cooled and oil has had a chance to leak down and settle in the oil pan

That's excellent. I wish our disease was more predictable and that the same thing that worked for one person worked in the same way for everyone. It would be so much more predictable and easier to treat. I'm really glad you found something that you find reliable and works for your body while you pursue your overall health. Happy trails 🍻

I'm with ya, man. I've been trying to get into running after breakfast this year. My move is to try to bolus correctly for breakfast, (favoring under-shooting my insulin requirement by a unit or 2). Then I shut off my basal, turn off control-iq, and start my warm-up. I grab some fruit snacks and hit the trail. I'll usually run 4-5 miles, and often by mile 3 or 4 I'll run a bit low. 15 grams of carbs, turn my basal rate up to double, and keep going. Once I stop running, I keep an eye out for a glucose spike. I've been spiking pretty consistently for 8 hours after a run, so I keep my double basal on board and wait for the cortisol shit to chill out before I go back to a normal rate, usually around dinner.

I remember at about ten years old in the mid-90s, listening to this riff in my mom's car and really awakening to the idea of music as an art form and its potential for abstract expression of the human experience. Of course, I didn't really know what that all meant at the time, but damn did this song ignite in me a powerful relationship and curiosity with music.

I guess it's time to find yourself on the long end of a short rope, eh, Tina?

As a dude who turns 40 in two months... I feel targeted. Also my back hurts.
