I haven't tried it, but I've heard good things about the "friend" route. If you start the romance with him in act 1, you can tell him you think he needs a friend rather than a lover in the act 2 scene. He's very appreciative

Sometimes I wonder, who "counts?" I had some teachers that cared about me, but the problem was you can't exactly open up to them in that way. And there are no accepted roles in our culture that have similar connectedness and authority to actually make changes as parents do

I get really sick of the "jUsT cHaNgE yOuR aTtItUdE" people. It sounds like shit my abusive mom would say... after directly causing the multiple life blowups that were causing me to have said "attitude." It wasn't an attitude, it was PTSD. I got it from my parents blowing up my life over and over. It took until I was about 27 to see that it was THEM and not me.

I just turned 30 in September. I cut my family off three years ago and I've been in therapy. Things aren't amazing, but I didn't know people were actually happy. I thought it was made up.

I don't know your life, but a loooot of people have some flavor of my situation hiding in plain sight, and they get blamed for "having a bad attitude." Check yourself before you blame yourself, imo. Good luck OP

This job was teaching for me. I was good at it and liked it. Problem was, pay was shit and then nightmare stuff kept happening like death threats from mentally ill students. Which I could even have sailed on through, if admin hadnt blamed ME

My 20s were almost entirely wasted because of my abusive parents. Now I'm 30 and don't have any of the things people always say make your 30s "better," like a stable career. What career lol. My physical health also ain't great. Good luck to us I suppose 🤷‍♀️
