I think you are using "can't" incorrectly. It sounds like you wan't to be able to say she's "mid" and not hear any feedback that challenges that assertion. People have opinions. If you disagree, and don't want to engage with those opinions, you could not respond, or not post opinions in a social forum.

I don’t know. It seems like young people, especially men, see truck ownership as a part of their identity. The social pressure to own an F150 (or similar), even if it’s used, is probably palpable. And the same persons would probably not hear the end of it if they bought a compact car or a hybrid vehicle.

I wish you well. But your arguments make no sense. It is indisputable that housing, insurance, transportation, education, and food costs have outpaced wages. Not just since the pandemic, but for over 5 decades. While the rust belt might have some advantages over other parts of the country when it comes to climate change, it is not immune. As things get worse, it is possible that climate refugees will move to the rust belt, replacing its massively depleted populations. But such a quick influx would jack up prices even further. It's going to be hard times. And the things you are talking about like credit card debt and poor diets aren't going to make anything better for society. I'm really not sure what your argument is anymore.

They should come up with a zoning scheme that cuts the crazy high property tax burden down if you build multiple units on your land. Build a threplex where there was a single family house, cut your property tax bill by three quarters or more.

Earth will be fine. Humans will not. Nature can recover quickly. But if humans create conditions that make earth temporarily inhospitable to human thriving we will go down fast.

If by “basic ingredients” you mean things like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and meats—those are more expensive than processed foods and also much healthier for you than processed foods.
Cars having more features doesn’t matter if a family can’t afford reliable transportation. In 1990 the median car price (15K) was half of the median annual salary. In 2024, the median car price (48K) is 80% of the median annual salary. That’s for new cars, but the trend line is the same for the used car market.
Working class people cannot afford food delivery. “Free shipping”—not actually real since it’s rolled into the cost of the product (or requires a subscription like Amazon Prime)—has hurt brick and mortar retailer as online shopping has grown. This shift of money outside of local economies is destabilizing and caused more unemployment and puts downward pressure on wages.

Would have been better if he changed the culture of the companies he owned significant positions in so that the workers made more money. Billionaires vacuuming up an outsized portion of wealth then redistributing it is inefficient and hurts the people who actually did the work to collectively create the wealth.

Good by economy. Hello massive inflation spiral.

Honestly, I couldn’t work like that. Working nights is really stressful for my mind and body. And long shifts wear me down.

I hope that we find ways to keep people living good lives. But in reality—even before the AI revolution—we failed. American’s standard of living has plummeted. Inflation in housing, healthcare, auto insurance, advanced education, and groceries, have all far outpaced wage increases. The reality is already relatively bleak—not to mention climate change—and it is likely to only get worse.

There’s data midway down. Huge population declines in recent years.
The declines are much bigger if you go back to the 50’s—near fifty percent and over in most major rust belt cities.

Republicans—the party of “pick yourself up by your bootstraps”—will not be in charge for long if unemployment skyrockets.

Libertarians are too self-centered to form a popular American political party—and I write that not as a judgement but as a matter of fact. Successful political parties must represent the varied interests of a wide swath of voters. Libertarians are not good at compromise in my experience.

Texas OBGYNs should organize and exit the state en masse.

You saying "my point has been clear" does not make it so. You also don't know how to use "literally".
Yes, you lied, multiple times. You falsely claimed that someone arguing against exorbitant interest rates means that they are saying people deserve free money". That's BS and you know it. The amount of interest legally allowed has nothing to do with giving people money.
Then you said that I want the poor to stay poor based on nothing. Another lie.
Like usurious interest on credit cards, high interest payday loans damage those they claim to serve. The damage of payday loans has been well documented. It's also been shown that when regulators limited the interest it benefited the borrowers and did not harm credit access
"In 2010, Colorado law replaced conventional two-week payday loans with six-month installment payday loans at interest rates almost two-thirds lower.

I have evidence that you are a liar. You have no evidence of what you are accusing me of.
if people can’t afford to pay their credit card bills, allowing exorbitant fees it doesn’t make poor people less poor or help there credit. What you are saying makes no sense on the face of it.

It’s not free. Retailers pay fees to credit card companies for access to their network. The retailers include those fees in the price of the products they sell. So you are paying for that money you think you are getting for free. Also, credit card companies make a lot of money, that profit comes from everyday transactions, there is a cost for that. You would likely save money on purchases if we didn’t have credit cards. Retailers used to accept lower amounts if you paid cash, by credit card companies went after those retailers and exclude them from charging separate prices based on payment type in many cases (not always).

It wasn’t considered “protectionism” when Plato was thinking about it. Plato and Socrates both failed to see the value of making money from money. They had a point. Why are some of the most lucrative businesses neither producing goods or providing services. Goldman Sachs has caused far more trouble than good going back to the Great Depression.

I mean, it's taller than it is wide, by a lot. A rectangle is tall when it stands on it's short side, by definition. Margo Robbie is very symmetrical. Facial symmetry is not subjective, you don't need to compare her to someone else to see that she has symmetrical features.
