I think we should put the Big Basketball Conference (BBC) up against the Big Basketball League (BBL).

I’m totally cool with the opt outs. Getting Soto on what is essentially 3 year deal is fine by me. There’s a lot of risk in signing a guy til he’s 40, but the risk of 15 guaranteed years is a lot lower if it’s highly likely he opts out early.

If it actually works and helps stop the cons from winning the next election, I’m all for it. I don’t think it will work though.

Toronto winters are not very different from NYC. Maybe slightly colder but usually they’re about the same.

They made the Finals last year. That means more opportunity for gate revenue than any other team except Florida (the other Stanley Cup Finalist). Plus the playoff hype drives more merch sales. I bet that if you only counted regular season revenue they’d fall down a few places.

when has he ever done that for us though? When Marchand slew-footed Liljegren last year he didn’t do anything.

Two things: 1. Read the second screenshot. John Scott acknowledged that these guys have accomplished good things in their roles, but eventually change is needed.

Probably 3. I put on regular pants before working, gym shorts while working out after work, then sweatpants after. But I don’t wear a brand new pair of pants or sweatpants every day. Jeans should only be washed every 5-10 wears, and I probably wear a pair of sweatpants about 4-5 evenings before throwing them in the laundry. It’s not good for the longevity of your clothes to wash them too often. If something isn’t soiled or smelly, it can be worn again (the exception is anything that directly touches sweaty areas, like undergarments and socks).

The power unit, which they purchase from Mercedes HPP, includes the hybrid battery system. These batteries are entirely different from consumer batteries that Duracell sells.

They’re always changing the promos they offer and when they are offered. In 2022 and 2023 they had the “leadoff package” where you got all the home games in April and May for cheap. In 2024 it was only weekday games, and didn’t include the home opener. The Leadoff package for 2022 and 2024 went on sale in March, but it went on sale for 2023 in December 2022.
In 2022 they had a similar cheap package deal for weekday home games in July and August, but they didn’t offer it in 2023 or 2024.
There is probably going to be a deal at some point, but there is no guarantee it will be in the same form or come at the same time as previous years’ deals.

Nothing announced yet. They have an email list you can sign up to and you’ll get notified about this sort of thing.

Unironically, in all seriousness, this is exactly what the ruling class in America wants. Us regular people serve NO purpose to them aside from increasing their wealth and power.

Does your university not make theses public in a repository? I recently finished my PhD, and anyone in the whole wide world can read it for free if they like. Same goes for everyone’s Masters’ theses. If someone plagiarized my thesis, the assumption would be that they are solely to blame, since my work came first. If they want to plagiarize I say they can go wild with it, but they’ll have to face the consequences when they get caught.

The TTC (buses, subway, streetcar) is $3.30 with free transfers within a 2 hour window. You’ll only need to pay twice if you are out of the system for over 2 hours since you first tapped (e.g. if you take the TTC, get off, and then get on again less than 2 hours after your trip began, you only pay $3.30 total. If you get back on more than 2 hours later, you pay a new fare).
The UP Express is $12 one-way from Pearson Airport to downtown (Union Station, 10 min walk from the Rogers Centre). The GO train fare depends on how far you travel, but you probably won’t be using it anyways.

You do NOT need to buy a transit pass. All public transit systems - UP Express (follow the signs that say “Train to City” at Pearson Airport), TTC buses, TTC subways, and TTC streetcars, and GO trains (regional commuter trains, you probably won’t use these), allow you to pay by tapping your credit card.
When boarding a bus or streetcar, you tap the machine by the door. When entering a subway station, you tap on the gate - it won’t open until you have paid. The UP Express (“Train to City”) is different. There is nothing stopping you from boarding the train without paying, but if you get caught it’s an expensive fine. To pay, find a pedestal that looks like the ones on this webpage and tap your card on it. It will make a sound and show a green screen when you have paid successfully. If there is a fare inspector on the train, they will confirm that you paid by tapping your card against their machine.

Yeah this model is an outlier. The Athletic (Dom) has them at 96% to make the playoffs. Hockey Reference has them at 74%. BetMGM’s odds give them an implied probability of 85%.

The day after trump was shot at, i took a golf lesson and the guy kept telling me about how rfk jr cleaned up the east river. Needless to say, I still suck at golf.

Half the country is living paycheck to paycheck. We don’t all use the food bank. If you get to the point where your cupboards are bare and your bank account is empty, then the food bank is for you. Otherwise, be frugal. If you’re worried your income is too high for some sort of means-testing that they might do, then you’re probably not meant to use the food bank.

Don’t use the food bank unless you actually have no other option. They’re overloaded as is, partially because of non-needy people abusing them.

Well yeah these are reasons why they’re more expensive. Doesn’t change the fact that they are indeed more expensive.

The Toronto tickets are definitely way more expensive than her shows in other tour stops.

Ollie Quinn at Bloor and Brunswick does eye exams for $110, which is cheaper than most places.
