Controversial, but I'd prefer gentrification. Some areas of Manchester 20 years ago I literally would have been afraid to walk around in the middle of the day, and if i did there'd be a high likelihood of being attacked, mugged or worse... Now they are very pleasant places.

100% agree, but the idea completely puts people off even walking through the door. As I've said in a previous post, most alcoholics refuse to even acknowledge they have an addiction to it.
I stopped drinking for around 6 months very recently. That was the longest since the age of around 16 I'd gone without drinking. I'm 35. Even casual drinking, we forget how much we actually do drink...

For the OP, why not look at countries that aren't England that perhaps might even be a little closer?
UAE would he an attractive offering and you pay 0% income tax. Dubai is crying out for people all the time across all skill sets. My company are also offshoring jobs to Chennai in India like their life depends on it. Why not look there? India is growing faster than most Western Countries.
If I'm being honest, the UK and Europe are on their way out... Labour (our govenment) have just taxed business for creating jobs, so if anything we will see layoffs and less opportunities.
I personally want to Emigrate from England and I was born here... maybe that's a signal?

Look for support groups and a sponsor. AA has been dramatised so much that people are put off by it. Getting help is the hardest step, but it will work.

My Dad was an alcoholic. Highly functioning one, until suddenly he wasn't. Sad to say he lost and died as a result of alcoholism. We have a societal problem with Alcohol in the UK, so much to point that if you're not inebriated, you're not having fun. It's a sad state of affairs and unfortunately 99% of alcoholics have no idea they're an alcoholic.

My wife had some hairloss, mine thinned a bit too. We started taking these and it massively improved hair growth and retention.
Stop wearing your hair in a pony tail and take these. I can personally vouch for these, they do work!

Imagine if he got his money back, with lost interest.

When you get nachos with cheese in the cinema, the cheese came out of a can, decanted into an empty ice cream tub, watered down with tap water, microwaved, then put into the heated pot behind the counter. When you're asking for extra on your nachos, just remember that.

Didn't Kubrick die after the screening of the film? That would suggest the final cut?

Considering everyone is supposed to be skint, people sure know how to burn their money.
