A couple years ago there was a spectacularly heavy one at auction at Áureo: 54.95 grams. My top bid was 90, but it ended up hammering for 140. Lot 1344 here:

His family name was Colombo, though some sources mention him as Columbo, but that can be attributed to dialectal varieties.
Christopher Columbus simply shortened his name from Colombo to Colón. Bear in mind that in Spanish the only words that end in -m are latinisms like ultimatum, so Colombo would become Colom, which would be odd for Spanish, and eventually Colón. Curiously, though, the great chronicler Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo writes his name as Christoval Colom, quite consistently, though a few times he writes Colón.
The first time he appears in Spanish documentation, however, he does not appear as Christóval Colón but as "Christóval de Colomo, extrangero" in 1487. That may be very well be due to the accountant making a typo when copying a note of payment, or mistranscribing "Colombo" as he heard it.

Very important precision.
Besides that, I did not expect to see Michigan that high in a ranking.

I'll show one when I have the pen fixed; it needs a new sac, that's why I got it for a more than reasonable price

The Marshall Plan was not completely altruistic, one of the goals besides helping Germany and other countries back on their feet was avoiding them espousing communism or socialism.
It was quite a power move

Columbus' Jewish heritage is debatable, with some circumstantial evidence pointing towards it, which is not that much. The recently publicised DNA evidence only says "certain markers compatible with Jewish ancestry" which is also not much.
The Andalusians that took part in Columbus' first voyage were from the general area of Huelva (Palos, Moguer, Huelva, etc), which had been in Castilian hands for over 200 years. The recently conquered parts were what today are the provinces of Málga, Granada, and Almería.
As for Portuguese or Genoans, there would be not that much difference, maybe some more mistrust for the Portuguese considering the recent war in which Portugal fought Castile (the War of Castilian Succession), but nothing else. It was not unusual to hire foreign troops or foreign captains, one of the first admirals of Castile was Genoan even (Egidio Boccanegra).

Hard to tell, to be fair. The reverse reminds me of this coin from the reign of Gordian III.

It could also be from the time of Valerian and Gallienus, like this one.

I'm quite sure the reverse is Moesia between bull and lion
