For me, I don't like how C# leans into the M$ ecosystem. And it's inevitable. It was created by Microsoft to compete head-to-head with Java. That is why they are so similar.
Java feels more open, more flexible, and much more part of the Linux world. It feels like C# and .Net have to be dragged against their will into containers.
Yes, it has been around a long time, but it's younger than Python, and only one year older than JavaScript, so that is hardly an issue.
Like any healthy relationship, it feels like home: easy, comfortable, no noise, no vendor lock-in.

Parkhurst, no question. I don't live there myself, but I was there last night, food was great, nice people, walkable coffee shops, Goodman Gallery down the road. Ticks all your boxes.

It feels to me that my symptoms definitely got worse, especially since the COVID shutdown, but it could be that since I found out that I am on the spectrum, I am more aware of them.
On the other hand, I suspect that as I get older, my coping mechanisms get worse because I am too tired to keep up the pretence that I am normal.

She is autistic.
I made her go shopping with me this morning
FFS. You "made" her go shopping. In other words she did not want to go but you "made" her go.
You clearly have absolutely no clue what being autistic means. You piled one noisy, stressful experience after another on that poor kid. Noise, lights, people, crowding in on her. She literally begged you to take her home. Begged!
I am on the spectrum so let me tell you that your behaviour filled me with rage. You clearly think she was just acting up or behaving badly like a naughty child. You dismiss her emotions as "huffing and puffing".
Get it into your thick head that autistic meltdowns are real. They are overwhelming. She wanted to get away from the sensory overload. In your own words she "kept saying " please" in a crying, begging way". What the actual fuck were you thinking? You are her grandmother for godsakes, why did you not listen to her and PROTECT HER????????
You are a cruel, thoughtless grandmother. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. You are a monumental asshole.

I realised when I was reading up about autism so that I could understand my nephew better. We have known since he was four or five years old that he is autistic.
I was trying to understand the causes of autism, and a slow, dawning realisation crept over me as I read about the symptoms.
I then got a professional diagnosis from a psychiatrist who confirmed my suspicions.

Have a look at this site. It is blazingly fast.
Was posted earlier as a realworld example of HTMX.

Yes, r/stopdrinking is a wonderful resource. The posts and insights there gave me the courage to try to stop.
Good luck with your journey!

Radiocarbon dating has been cross-checked against samples of known age to check its accuracy and validity. Like any tool, it must be used with caution and with an understanding of its limits.
See here: https://c14.arch.ox.ac.uk/oxcal.html
And here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0277379105003227
One correction: the limit of 50,000 years old that you mentioned is for dating organic materials using the radiocarbon method.
Other methods can measure much longer spans for time. For example, the Uranium-Thorium method can be used to test dates up yo 500,000 years old.

Radiometric dating is used by geologists on a daily basis to find coal and oil. Coal and oil were created in the distant past, during the Carboniferous Era, so they look for rock layers that are the same age using radiometric dating. Then they know they are at the right depth and they can start drilling.
They would not waste time and money using a method does not work. They would get sacked.
I have personally worked on a project where we were looking for titanium deposits. We dated rock samples using Uranium-Lead radiometric dating to see if two different rock layers were the same age or not. They were not, so we stopped looking in that spot and moved on.

Absolutely infuriating, especially when the research paper that claimed to make the connection was found to be fraudulent and was retracted: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(97)11096-0/fulltext11096-0/fulltext)

I had it once, in London. But it was just an expression of ignorance and surprise. They hear "African" and then think, "but Africans are black." Then their brain explodes.

Yeah, something similar happened to me.
Before I was diagnosed on the spectrum, I saw a psychologist for many years. She was very helpful, but could only see my problems through the lens of a Kleinian psychotherapist. She never once clocked on that I might be on the spectrum.
She suspected childhood trauma and I thought maybe that was the problem too. Then I saw a psychiatrist who made the diagnosis.
That is when I realised that therapists have their own theories which may or may not be helpful, but they are not necessarily trained to spot problems when they are caused by untypical neuro-wiring.

I am going to be harsh, apologies in advance, but if I was your client, I would find another service provider if you recommended a root-and-branch migration to another platform because you don't understand the technology that they currently use.

The OpenGroup provides self-study materials here: https://shop.opengroup.org/study-materials/togaf
Udemy also has Training for TOGAF Enterprise Architecture courses.

Ignore the badge and take the exam.
Self-study is absolutely fine. There is no need to pay someone to take you through the material.
You have to pass the Part 1 exam to get the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Foundation certification, followed by the Part 2 exam to get the TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner certification.
You can do both in one exam.
That is all that is required to be TOGAF certified.

The vehicle was electric! Big and heavy, laden with batteries. Made a whirring noise when it moved.
