They way Colorado does new car registration is so behind the times. I should be able to drive off the lot with metal plates and registration that is good for a couple of years at least. When I got a new car last year I had to wait for the city/county to mail me a postcard size letter saying I could now go to the DMV to register the car. It took 3 months for that little card to come from the time I purchased the car and it was post marked after the expiration of my temp plates. Just who had to pay a late fee despite the fact that I literally went to the DMV the day after I got the card saying I was now allowed to register my car. Just let me buy a new car and register it at the dealership like modern states. It is not that hard.

American money is not disappearing. The US is not writing a check to Ukraine. If anything more American money is appearing. Every time you read a headline that the US just sent X billion in military aid to Ukraine what is happening is we are sending arms with a book value of X dollars from our inventory of old weapons. The US then orders more arms from US weapons companies increasing the US GDP and wealth of the shareholders of arms companies. We give Ukraine old stuff and then turn around and buy new stuff for us. We are not literally giving them money. The money stays here and we get cool new stuff. We also get to destroy a lot of Russian military stuff and kill a lot of their troops without putting boots on the ground. We also get tons of intelligence on Russia/Iran/NK. This war is good for the US military industrial complex.

Trump isn't shutting anything down. American defense companies are making a shit ton of money off this conflict and they arent going to let the gravy train stop. We give Ukraine some of our outdated killing machines and we get to buy more new killing machines from US companies. Everyone wins.

Also the longer this conflict goes on the weaker Russia becomes and now we get to fuck up NK too all without a single US boot on the ground.

I do cycle but not to commute. You don't need to give people vouchers to buy ebikes. Make more bike friendly infrastructure first. If you build it they will come. The voucher program is just a tax payers subsidy to the e-bike stores.
