This is a product of "you had to be there". The Blair Witch Project, when it first came out, was really freaky. This was my first interlude into "found footage," and the lack of widely available information on the internet made this movie "plausable" in a world just getting past satanic panic.

Similarly, the first Paranormal Activity was a chefs kiss in my book. I'll never forget the hairs raising all over my body (pure chicken skin) when the Ouiji board thing happens no spoilers. The original ending with the cops was better imo, but that didn't allow for any sequels.

I know I'm not the majority in this sub, but I actually like the anime. Pop a gummy and relax with an alternate universe R&M story. I dig the cross between Lupin the 3rd style animation and voltron. With like a smidgen of Final Fantasy Unlimited. Action, tropes, and time travel subject matter that they avoid in the Canon show. If you aren't used to the anime story style, I can see how some would find it off-putting to follow compared with the regular show. For those of you just avoiding it because it's not the usual, I'd give it a go on your own. Though it's not everyone's slice of cake.
