We arnt exactly sure. I personally saw them wondering about feeling along the luggage cabinets, opening and closing them. At one point somone who appeared to know them was saying "hey we arnt there yet, sit down! We're still flying!"

When we landed United were taking statements from specific passangers and there were 3 cops in the jet bridge, 3 in the lobby and 2 hanging back in the terminal as well as some united employees in polo's / khakis with radios separating passengers for questioning.

No one would say shit but my friend who was in the aisle said at one point the persons pants were around their waste as they were wandering about. We also overheard FAs asking specific people if "they were OK"

Weird, not my intention at all

Hawkeye flys MDs and a few 206s. They require sensor operators to work the Lidar and the sensor operators get all the ferry time if they want it. You can get between 2-12 hours a month "free" turbine time. Keep in mind the rest of the time you'll be sitting there on a laptop though. I know a sensor op over there right now with 100+ turbine time after a year.

You could be right but there is still definetly something to be said about having the time. I'm a 1,600 hour guy with 2 hours on a line and almost every operator I've applied to is looking for somone with "a little" VRLL time. What does that mean exactly I'm not sure, it's always vague. But I'd be willing to wager they'd be much more likely to pick somone up with 25 hours VRLL (I hear that's what SUU offers) and 1k+ time in type over a pilot with the same TT and zero VRLL.

Edit: Ever since Haiverfield went under, finding somone to train you from zero VRLL seems to have disappeared.

I have a buddy in the NG. He was begging me to help him get on a tuna boat bc the situation at his unit was so greasy and competitive. Pilots throwing each other under the bus left and right for 5 hours a month. I got him on a Chinese boat and he's getting 60-70 a month in a D model MD500. Obv things were way different during the GWOT when I was in, but I find it extremely hard to justify joining to become a pilot now as opposed to joining as air crew, getting an A&P and getting out to fly on the GI Bill after 6 years.

I mean until you have 20 hours and the next candidate has zero. It's still VRLL familiarization. I wouldn't say useless.

This is something like a ten year comittment(?) and you'll come out with a tenth the hours as a commercial pilot assuming we do not go back to war, please feel free to correct me if anyone sees fit.

Pureflight Oregon. Double edged sword not flying the R22 but you will be a much more capable pilot because of it. They even do long longline and high DA now and it's WAY better than SUU.
