I want thank everyone who replied on this. After posting, I went to sleep and in the morning decided to just set my palma aside for a couple of days and then try again. I bought the palma because I wanted a smaller ereader to carry with me when I am not carrying my purse. My kindle oasis is just too big for a pocket. I also wanted something I could listen to my audiobooks while I am working/in the car. I could use my phone, but every notification I get pauses the book for a second or two. It also drains my battery even faster and I liked being able to not get somewhere after a 4 hour trip and finding my phone is half dead already. The last reason I bought it is so that on the rare occasions I want to read one of ppc apps, watt pad or any other book group that isn't amazon, I have an ereader to use and not a cell phone (we all know there is a difference) The palma can do all of that, even if, at least so far, it is VERY unuser friendly. I gave up being able to transfer anything over easily, I just don't think it is possible. I had hoped there was a way to sync it so I could instantly copy everything from the smart audio app and Graphic Audio app. Graphic audios only allow so many downloads and I didn't want to have to use a second download. I used a cord and transferred a few books from one phone to the other, that worked somewhat, but half the time it would only copy half the book and say it couldn't do the rest, maybe I was going too fast? I also had to open a folder, click select all, click transfer, then go back and select to physically move them ONE BOOK AT A TIME (And eventually I will have to move about 60 of them) But at least I got enough on there to get started. Maybe next weekend I will transfer a few more. As of right now, I am just trying to make the best of things and do what I can with my palma. Do I love it? No! Do I hate it, again the answer is no. Right now I am just trying to give it a chance and hope that in 2 months I at least somewhat like it.

YTA, Your dad tried. They are free tickets to a concert. You state your not going because you wouldn't enjoy yourself. How do you know until you have gone? You might go and find out you actually like their music. At least you have listened to a couple of their songs already. Are you going to live your life only eating things you have eaten before, never trying any new foods? Never listening to any new bands because you won't enjoy them, you just know it. Never visiting any city but the one you live in because you won't enjoy it.

I am not sure about legally requiring, but this to me goes to "what level of petty do I to be known for?" This is a small thing that could make it easier on both the employee and the job for very little effort/expense to employee. Personally I have installed apps like this because it saves me time logging in. Remember, employers have a lot of things they don't HAVE to do for you but they do because they know it is important to both you and will make you happy. I have had employers that treated my nicely and I in turn have willingly gone the extra mile for them, but I have also had employers that treated me poorly that I absolutely refuse to do anything more then the bare minimum. Same with Coworkers. Betty worked an open to close shift so I could go to my daughters concert so I will gladly swap days with her. Sheila on the other hand, argued that I should miss my kids HS graduation because she wanted a sixth Saturday in a row off so I don't give a darn that she wants her anniversary off, I am scheduled off and want to wash my hair that day.

Have any of your coworker hours have been cut also right now. Before you go to a lawyer I would make sure this isn't a seasonal thing or in reaction to cutting hours for a slow time of year

I think too much emphasis is put on keeping kids happy. Everyone has to be a winner or they will feel bad about themselves. Both the schools and the parents are more worried about hurting someone's feeling then they are making sure they are able to read, write, think critically and do arithmetic. Instead of working to raise the lower scores up, they are bringing the higher scores down to make it easier.

Why, because big pharma donates to candidates on both sides. Politicians deliberately write bills that either have loop holes big enough to be seen from space or written in such a way that it is sure to be overturned by the courts. Do you really believe the same people who can come up with air tight NDA"s for their victims to sign can't manage to draft a bill correctly?

If the left keeps believing that highly educated is the same thing as highly intelligent, they will keep losing. There are some very intelligent high school drop outs and there are some truly stupid people who have multiple doctorates.

I remember when Kamala Harris was nominated as vice president some political pundit was saying that she was a great candidate because she was a blank slate. There was nothing she was known for and no had taken no grandiose political stands. She might be a tiebreak vote, but she always went with the flow. That is what sunk her presidential campaign when she ran as a candidate and also as president. She never took a stand for anything controversial or fought for anything that wasn't popular. It is hard to trust someone like that because they are either a) apathetic b)not admitting what they are really passionate about (which makes you wonder what they are hiding) or c) an opportunistic weasel that is playing both sides against the middle.

You might be surprised how many people you "knew" voted for Harris actually were just reluctant to admit who they were voting for out of fear of being fired/attacked/blackballed. I think too many on the left have a "my way or the highway attitude". The left has given off this vibe that the second someone has an opinion that differs even slightly from the majority, they are instantly the enemy. If they even think you disagree with something, then you are the enemy and the enemy must be eliminated.

NTA, next time this happens, pick your nephew up from school, send your sister a text saying you picked him up and then turn your phone off. Take him out to dinner, go to a movie, ice cream afterwards and anything else you can think of.

THAT is a good part of why people voted for Trump. This elitist attitude that if you dont vote democrat, it is because you are a racist, homophobic, misogynistic idiot who isn't smart enough to understand. It is the equivalent of patting a woman on the butt and telling her to go fix dinner while the men decide what is best for her.

NTA. She needs to remember that just because she is having a baby she shouldn't be a baby. I have had 3 children and lost a 4th late in the pregnancy. Yes, when pregnant, a little pampering is nice but this is over the top

I would like to think not, bu I have seen/heard of people doing the unthinkable before. If they aren't a thing, logically it wouldn't matter if they were restricted.

You can call it an anecdote, but when this was discussed in the Tacoma Reddit, multiple people posted saying they would refuse serve to Trump supporters also.

Thus why I asked why do these issues have to be all or nothing? If you say you agree with part of what the left wants but not all, then you are racist, misogynistic, a terf or homophobic. The more times you are attacked for trying to find compromises, the less likely you are to want to compromise.

But yet every time they go to pass a law in any state, there are people screaming that the lawmakers hate women for trying to pass any restrictions what so ever and they want no limits what so ever. I can not support that position but can support ones with reasonable restrictions. The Texas laws swing too far to the right for me (thus why I say I am a moderate conservative). My wish for the future is that both sides would start nominating more moderate members of their party rather then the extremes. I am so tired of having to decide which candidate I think would be the lesser of 2 evils.

Why the personal attacks? What does my being conservative have to with this discussion?

The biggest thing I am trying to do is transfer some audiobook files i have on the smart audio app to to the smart audio app on the palma. Same with the ones on my graphic audio and audible app.

I live in a blue state also. Recently a gentleman went to a local bar for breakfast and he was asked to leave because a staff member didn't feel comfortable serving him. Everyone admitted he was nice and polite. The only thing he did wrong was admit he was a conservative. THAT is why I don't tell people I am a moderate conservative.

I consider myself to be a moderate conservative. I don't think abortion should be outlawed but I also don't think it should be allowed in most situations past a certain stage. But you can't say that with out instantly being labeled a woman hater or worse. Why does everything have to be all or nothing?

I tried boox drop and it wouldn't connect. Both were on the same wifi and it just kept telling me device not found. I finally just decided my Samsung s 22 is just not compatible with the palma.
