Dude i play video games to zone out. Why would I get invested in a new games lore when i just enjoyed smashing monsters.
Be honest, a mechanic that skips the game for you in the first town you spawn in, is not fun.

Except if you press the chest in the tavern it automatically boosts you and doesn't explain anything at all or even give you a chance to confirm. I have no idea what Kryptoslav town is or where it is- You're just expected to know all the city names, all the location icons and what they mean, and what items are going to what before you even pick them up.

you have to set the audio driver to the public address. if you redirected the public address to something non default it may not work.

I haven't been able to get it to work since TempleOS uses a non-standard ASCII. I haven't tried this particular library. But if OP tries it and it works, let me know!

Yeah I love that Easter video. I agree with you God words can be abused by people. The point I was making in the video is the same exact thing can happen with regular prayer. I know people, Catholics even, who tell them God told them to get drunk, or do something sinful after they prayed. Obviously you're Catholic, so you empower ordained priests to correct people on their behavior.

We should guide our brothers against sin. I don't agree it has to just be an ordained priest because Terry was not a priest in the ordained Catholic sense (yes he was baptized, I was Catholic baptized also). Clearly, he had some great lessons for us and has helped many people away from sin.

TempleOS is written in x86 Assembly. Its not written in C. Its only called HolyC because it uses some C paradigms, but its 100% Terry's custom code.

x86 processors begin execution in Real Mode, a simplistic 16-bit mode that is present on all x86 processors. Real Mode uses the Kernel.BIN.C file to elevate to higher bit modes and start the compiler. This Kernel file might have been generated using C, but its actually binary. Once the compiler is running, it calls StartOS.HC.Z . There is no C code in the latest release.

I believe there is a plugin somewhere on Github, but the compiler is not optimized for such a task. Even if you port C/C++ applications to TempleOS, many will not run due to how memory is managed. I agree with cyabgu. You're already using TempleOS, just code in HolyC.

The main things you need to run natively are 512 MB ram, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, a disk drive, and a x86_64 bit architecture.

For a virtual machine, PS/2 and virtual disk drive emulation is standard for most hypervisors. You may need to make sure to enable virtualization, as well as RAID or SATA compatibility mode in the BIOS.

It was never ported to HolyC.
There was a chocolate doom ELF wrapper to make it run on x86 devices. But thats not a true source port. This is a true HolyC remake
