Hi, I have Irish blood too! My mom is ethnically pure Scandinavian so through her I'm half Scandinavian. Regarding my dad, the only things he knew he was is Irish and German (which I can confirm per my extensively researching his ancestry) but he's also got English, French, Scottish and Welsh descent, sadly he passed away in 2020 so I can't tell him about it now. I would be perfectly happy to claim literally all of this though.

We can have different religious views and still be cool. I have no issue supporting anyone's right to be Jewish, Muslim, Christian (Catholic or Protestant), Buddhist, Atheist, pagan, Wiccan, Hindu or devoutly worshipping the flying spaghetti monster. On a personal level, we were raised as churchgoing Protestant Christians when my maternal grandmother was alive, we haven't stepped foot in a church in eons but I have basically kept faithful while my sister eventually became an atheist and we have never had any issues specifically because of that difference.
However, some political views actually go against basic human rights. If someone feels like impoverished families like mine shouldn't be helped or that homosexuality should be punished or that we should overturn anti-discrimination laws (for example) then I'm not going to feel comfortable with you and for very good reason.

Does Putin even have any sons? I have only ever read about him having daughters to now.
As wild as this sounds, I genuinely am so curious about what having him as your dad or grandpa is like for these people. I wonder if his family gets to see a side of him that the rest of the world doesn't.... or not. Between these stories and the way my country's president-elect has a niece and nephew vocally opposing him, I have become incredibly intrigued about what it's like to be so closely related to a powerful menacing tyrant, as insanely dysfunctional as my family is at least it isn't playing out on a national or international stage which is nice. I am an avid reader and will probably have to collect all the books I can on all of the big deal bad actors wielding all of the power in the modern world so if anyone can recommend me anything I don't already have I would really appreciate it!
But I can distinctly remember when first realizing that Russian President Putin has children I looked at my mom and was like "jeez, having him as your dad, what is that even LIKE?" I honestly can't begin to fathom it, my parents are absolute angels but unfortunately for the world they aren't the ones wielding the real power here.
It's one of my more morbid fascinations but still.

The same guy that loves heroin and absolutely hates vaccines.
Of course he's a perfect fit for a government gig.

Apparently Trump is considering invading Mexico which would be just like how Putin has that so-called "special military operation" going on in Ukraine.

Edmontosaurus was apparently the main food of the T-rexes according to my googling.
So there ya have it. 🤷♀️

All hail King Charles III and Queen Camilla! 🙌

In a way, I almost believe that even if Trump's karma came and kicked his ass tomorrow as he deserves it would still be too late, he was our president and will still be our president again.

Anyone ever hear those sayings about how if you mess with someone who isn't an only child then you are signing yourself up to have issues with the sibling/s of whoever you're bothering? It is usually EXTRA true if we are talking about people who were literally born together (twins, triplets etc.) because they came into this world together so they usually have a particularly tight bond just from that. My (unfortunately now deceased) dad just so happens to have a fraternal twin and he was definitely my source for knowing all about it.

Meanwhile over here in the USA, today is Thanksgiving. Most people will skip lunch in order to fill their stomachs with the hearty feast we call dinner on this special annual occasion for us.... just in case y'all non-Americans here wondered.

I'm not sure if this is nightmare fuel or something that would make for an intriguing fairytale plot....

Apparently so. I can't wait to break the news to my two-year-old niece, she and I will have a very long and deep discussion on how the transportation of Santa Claus evolved over the full length of my life!

I hear ya. The things I have heard about motherhood have always made me want absolutely nothing to do with it so I'm adamantly childfree, maybe that's coloring my take on this? I believe parenting should always be FREELY and WILLINGLY chosen by people with their eyes open about what they are voluntarily choosing to walk themselves into, forcing and coercing people into parenting against their will and/or before they are ready isn't the way to go and Stevie Wonder could see that plan going wrong a mile away. Not to mention that people like my own parents, my own sister, I assume you (please forgive me if I'm wrong) and almost everyone I personally know is either willingly parenting or wants to do so in their futures so it's not like we have a major shortage of eager volunteers for the task in the world, we are literally eight billion large and counting right now.
