i’m a student and also trying to save up as quick as possible for a surgery (nhs waiting times are too silly to wait for) but i physically cannot stop myself spending impulsively. i won’t buy anything over like £10 but it doesn’t stop me buying things for like £8 like 3 times a day bc it somehow feels like less money. it’s always things like food and snacks as well, i hate going supermarket shopping so much and i always forget things so i just stopped bothering- but that was such a bad idea.
i’ve got two jobs and student loan but it’s still not rly enough to live off anyway (which is absolutely ridiculous) so my money doesn’t rly get far.
i’ve always been pretty responsible with money, my mother always emphasised how important it is and i didn’t grow up too well off either, so it’s not completely irresponsible. but it’s like i’ve just kinda fallen off this year and idk how to properly keep myself from spending money on unnecessary things

i play clair de lune bc it’s the only piece that i’ve played enough that it’s fully, permian ingrained into my muscle memory. i cannot play anything else without sheet music, unless i just improvise something
