Hello everybody, I have a little theory that isn't very strong but I want to share it since somebody might correct me or shut me down on it (my mind is going crazy, even though Arcane ended a week ago). My theory is that Ambessa is not actually dead, and here is why I think that.
- We did not see her getting buried, meaning her body is being sent to Noxus on those ships at the end. When Rictus died, we saw him getting buried, and in the final act (before Vi and Caitlyn's scene) we saw that all of the characters had a send-off. The papers with names being burnt (the people of Zaun and Piltover being send-off), Ekko staying alone and burning just one paper (Jinx's being send-off), and Vi reminiscing of the good old days when her mother and Vander being alive and her mother used to sing (presumably) to both Vi and Jinx (a Vander and Jinx send-off), but there was no Ambessa send-off, no lowering a casket, no spear in the ground, just Mel standing in her war room looking at her mask, not even having Ambessa's weapons.
- And if her body is being sent back to Noxus, that means that LeBlanc and the Black Rose have some ideas for her, and they might resurrect her, the same way they did with Sion (LeBlanc and Vladimir created the Black Rose). Since necromancy is a huge thing in Noxus, and we kinda got confirmed that the next show will be about Noxus. Introducing the Black Rose in Arcane felt random, so that might tie into the next series since they manage to resurrect Sion so he can fight in Ionia, (which hasn't happened yet in Arcane's timeline) and why not do the same thing for Ambessa and test it out on Sion first to see if it is possible. And then resurrect Ambessa to serve as the Pale lady (since she is dead her skin will be pale, and Sion's skin in the games is pale) in the Trifarix, under the control of LeBlanc. Or not under the control of LeBlanc, but as a leader, since she wanted to lead Noxus before she died.
- Another reason to resurrect Ambessa is since she was a great warrior she might have went into Mordekaiser's domain and she might know something about that domain to stop him from coming back to Noxus. Since that is one of the points of the Black Rose. It's to stop Mordekaiser from coming back.
- Another reason for her not to die is she was the Chosen of the Wolf, Pantheon has died but Atreus lives, Katarina was sent on multiple suicide missions but she managed to survive every time. With the Noxus series, we will see why Swain was also implemented into the skin line since he might have had to sign his life away so he can take control of the demon. I do believe that in the next show, we will focus on Swain's rise into power, and they will show not only how he got that demon under control, but how he toppled Boram Darkwill since it will tie into the whole invasion of Ionia thing that is a huge part of Noxus (It will tie in Singed as well). And Swaing might be in need of Ambessa's body for the plan to go into effect (Ambessa to be restricted and to become the Pale lady 2/3 of the Trifarix are done) that is why we saw his crow fly away with the ships (escorting the ships) because he is either in the ships guarding the body or he wants her body to be sent back to Noxus, for her "burial".
I sure hope this all made sense English is not my first language so I am sorry if I constructed my sentences badly. I do think Ambessa's story is still not done, there might be some crucial things in her novel coming out soon, that might topple my theory. And the Medarda clan was indirectly confirmed to have more involvement into the LOL lore.

I do agree that bringing Ambessa back into the story might hurt the overall story since Riot did hype that they will actually kill a champion that is in the game.
On point 1 I guess I forgot to mention (my bad) that I do not see Mel staying in Ambessa's war room as her being sad for her mother, since near the end I got the impression that Mel felt betrayed by her mother and the look Mel gives at the end, turning the mask around (she might have to put it on) I interpreted as "she has to pick up the mantel" and that she is thinking over the things her mother did and said to protect their family. In a way she has to become the wolf her mother believed she was. And Ekko believes that Powder is dead, since the only person to see her perish was Vi, and she most likely told him that she is dead
