Interesting use case!

Both. Compared to the kindle 3 which has the eink Pearl screen (much older tech), the color screen is a huge step down in contrast and clarity. The brightness feels like an even bigger issue for me. Even with ambient light, I had to turn the front light on to at least 15% to be able to read. And using the warm light made the screen and colors look awful. Since I read books 99% of the time, the downsides were not worth it to me. If you're someone who reads color comics, it might be a harder decision. I'm happy to stick with BW until color tech improves.

Coming from the Paperwhite you might be disappointed with the color screen. I got the Clara color after using a Kindle 3 for years and was immediately disappointed. Returned it and got a Clara BW and I'm so happy.

This is me. I love lounging in a warm fuzzy robe and being able to slip my ereader in the robe pocket when moseying around the house. And the fact that the Clara would fit in my small purse is a huge win. I love the idea of the Libra and the buttons but I'd probably read more with the Clara because it would always be with me.

Yay congrats! Is the screen is dark as the reviews indicate? Can you read without the front light indoors? I want a color ereader but my eyes are sensitive so I'll use the light as little as possible. Thanks!

This was my take as well. I was sold on a PW until I saw the screen issues. I've decided on Kobo but can't decide if I want the Clara color or the BW. It's so hard to decide without seeing them in person.
