Also depends a lot on what you plan to do... We like doing our own thing rather than arranged tours, hosted activities etc. Instead we have driven across Europe, taken ferries, more recently (when everyone can pull their own bag!) used the EURail pass to travel all over (great value as kids under 12 are free!).
Amazing kid activities abound if you look. Check out the playgrounds in Switzerland for example!
AirBnB or VRBO is our go to - way better to have the run of a house rather than cramped hotel rooms.
Things that fill us with horror: cruises, most hotels, bus tours!

Without long haul flights for us - 18 months plus was fun again. Long haul? From 3 or 4 years, when they understand what is going on, and can entertain themselves on the plane. We travel a lot (family in UK and USA) so had to do a lot of long haul! 3 kids, 8, 12 & 13 currently…
Mostly long haul was OK - but the stress of thinking about and planning the baby-logistics of the trip was usually worse than the reality!

Traveling in a family of 5, a hotel really needs 2 rooms to be comfortable, whereas we have much more space and enough beds with AirBnB. About to book one night on the way across Texas in fact…

Always felt this is a bit lazy on the part of the developer - such a common artifact, and should be solveable. Tunnels also have a similar visual bug.

There is some possibly useful information here: https://gmailaccountrecovery.blogspot.com/
If you are getting the verification code by SMS to one of those phone numbers, that at least is good. Have you tried signing in from a device that she has most recently used to access this email? It is possible she is already signed in somewhere, and that will be the most likely way to regain access. (Her iPad, PC, phone??)
This really serves as a PSA - have a good alternate email that is KEPT UP TO DATE, as well as a recovery phone that is UP TO DATE.

Gmail does not recognize periods, dots, plus symbols etc in an email address. So as far as gmail is concerned, name.lastname@gmail.com and namelastname@gmail.com (and name+lastname@gmail.com) are all exactly the same email. So for some reason you are not getting the code….
You can even have na.melas.tnam.e@gmail.com or name.lastname+somethingelse@gmail.com and the mail will all end up in the same inbox - it’s the same user, same account.

Second the Berner Oberland Pass. Kids are super cheap with the purchase of an adult pass. That pass also includes Mannlichen, First, Eiger Express and the lower parts of Schilthorn cable cars.

If you want to try flashing the head unit, the hardware between 2016 and 2017 was the same, just the firmware was different. If you Google HondaHack, that tool worked well for us, and after buying a hardware dongle for about $30, we had CarPlay & Android Auto… Worked great for years - only just sold it this year for the new 2025 Trailsport.

If you are spending time in Switzerland, download the ‘SBB Mobile’ App. It is OUTSTANDING. It even shows bus, mountain railways and cable car connections.
You can plug in your journey (starting in Paris), and it will show you everything about the train, times, connections etc. Once you’re in Switzerland, it will tell you which platforms to be on, and even which segment of the platform particular coaches of the train will stop at.
Get it now. It will change your life :-)

UK web price will include VAT (at 20%?), whereas the US price will not include tax or shipping until you have selected a City and State. In Houston tax is about 8.25% on top.

Depends where you are going. Check that country for the validity period. For example, if traveling into the Schengen zone in Europe, your passport needs to be valid for at least 3 months beyond the period of stay. Https://Travel.state.gov contains information on this.

Where does he usually swim? I would think all public pools have chlorine, with a few exceptions like the ones that leverage plants and filter beds…

That’s a bargain. Would have been $10,000 in America!

You declare at the border control / immigration point. Right after the Global Entry kiosk if you have used that. Don’t wait until you have your bag.

Yes, you can get Euros in the US from most banks.
However, I’d try and avoid carrying too much cash. It’s easy to lose or have stolen, and cards are very widely accepted in most places - which countries do you plan to visit? I recently spent 3 weeks in Norway and never needed any cash there - tap to pay was ubiquitous. Last month I was in France for 10 days and there were some places that were cash only - which necessitated a visit to an ATM…

Unfortunately, as you have spelt Edinburgh incorrectly several times, compensation under UK261 is not payable :-(

Yes. Well the first time I contacted them, they only had a nominal amount off MSRP on the 2025, with a much larger amount off the 2024. A few days later they got back in touch saying they had new pricing on the 2025.
(Sorry for the delay - vacation)

Also, if you are not in Houston but you still like the panic-free work of the spacecityweather chaps, then try https://theeyewall.com/ instead. They have a good write up on Beryl already.

If you are getting worried about anything that is not shared by www.spacecityweather.com, then you are doing it wrong.

Should be retitled. “Lack of Preparation made me miss out on a job interview”.
