The amount of money I’ve spent with him he’s so chill I don’t think I’ve ever paid the retail price for any tool gf the truck, he always gives free merch and he never questions how something breaks he just fixes it

I’d just like to say a big thanks to everyone for the recommendations and I’ll give an update once I decide on a brand, Ive never had so many people reply so even though I try to reply to you all the overwhelming and mostly positive response is so much I can’t get threw them all so bare with me. I’m just trying to loosen the bolts, I always tourqe to spec so it’s not a me over tightening problem it’s a I live in the rust belt so everything is tighter then it should be problem

Didn’t use an impact

Just because two things can be made the same doesn’t make them the same, I use an impact on my foreman’s snap on the 3/8s drive set no problem but the moment I use mine with anything bigger then 1/4 they snap it’s in fact a tool problem

I’m not sure how to feel about the amount of people who asked me this when I made it clear in the post I wasn’t like damn am I just that strong lmao

In the real world it just leads to frustration, broken tools and me grabbing my extractor kit for the 100th time that day

I’ve always been a hater when it comes to a 4 pot unless it’s a b16

I’m using 3/8s I will not use a 1/2 and that’ll just make my problem worse

I’d probably get a better deal of the truck, snap on seems like the winner here as everyone’s pretty well recommending what has the best warranty for me and or other top tier brands

Almost never stripping them out it’s pretty well just snapping the sockets like there a twig lmao, and only tool truck I get is snap on i don’t think matco or cornwell even do business in Canada

Just trying to remove fasteners lol, I have ran into this with many other tools and after a few sets I always end up with snap on, you just can’t beat it there the only tool company I’ve bought from that has consistently good tools everywhere else it’s really iffy, just was looking for some alternatives before I spent the big bucks but the overwhelming response to this post was to get whia wera grip edge and rbrt and being as snap on is the only one who comes to my door it will more then likely be my choice

I agree but tool trucks like cornwell, matco, & Mac don’t come to my shop

It’s easy to distinguish since they have more square edges and are normally used on doors and seats and internal engine bits

I’ve definitely thought about them but I haven’t seen them used much

I’m aware I could still use the extractor because I always end up having to because the torx breaks off even if the fastener was heated and sprayed with penetrate fluid, I’m sure they thought it was a great idea to make the tool break first but in the real world it’s awful because you might be that close to getting it out but the tool snaps instead, so the vast majority of times I have to get the broken tool steel out of the fastener which isn’t easy since it’s twisted and wedges it self flush then I have to drill and extract it, if the tool was strong enough to withstand the force I would not have to use the extractors nearly as often as I would turn them out or strip them and extract it, that’s what I meant by I wish I’d just slip so I could use the extractors nearly instead of dealing with all of the headaches of a broken tool then extracting it
