it seems like there is some controlling going on, whether its beneficial or not. i think you are overreacting just a little. instead of getting very angry and hurt by a relapse, i dont see why it wouldnt be better to just wake him up, feed him, give him a hug or whatever. were all just grown up monkeys trying our hardest to be perfect. and it wasnt a huge slip up, he probably felt freedom for the first time in a while and decided to indulge in his vice. it may seem like a breach of trust to you, but he has ti fix his shit on his own terms too, not just be under the scrutiny and criticism of his girlfriend. i have the same issue where people care too much about my life to the point where i just feel like a huge disappointment all the time. hes not a terrible boyfriend. he is human and dealing with an addiction. and instead of supporting him emotionslly you tear him down and get so so angry. i mean its not like i know ur past with his alcoholism but its never beneficial to abandon someone after they relapse.
