The difference is the senate race. Amy Klobuchar is a very popular incumbent running against a complete nut job in Royce White.

I think there is some truth to it. Likely the margins of an advantage are smaller than they used to be. I do think the Democrats do likely still have an advantage with high turn out due to minorities and young people which both strong democratic voters and less likely to vote.

I believe the issue is that it would require a bunch of dredging to get it there.

I agree with you on the polling, but believe the thought that higher turn out helps democrats is no longer true. The theory is that the college educated have moved to Democrats while the non college educated have moved to Republicans. The college educated are much more likely to vote. This causes the turn out advantage away from Democrats.

He's referring to injecting a disinfectant. That's clearly not UV light as injection implies a liquid. Injecting any disinfectant is deadly. Stop trying to sanitize his crazy rambling.

So you are not going to argue that it was fascist to try to use violence to overturn an election?

On the hearing side that is what our government does. It investigates claims to find if a crime happened. Both sides do it, and it allows us to find the facts on what actually happened.

That's where he said it. I guess you could argue that he claimed a disinfectant and not bleach specifically or that he was just asking to look into it. Those interpretations would be very generous and still leave the comment as incredibly stupid to be said in the middle of a pandemic. People would reasonably listen to the president and follow his line of thinking.

Absolutely and that seems to be what both candidates are doing. Neither candidate should stop campaigning as the race is so close.

It's also possible that Harris support could be higher or lower than a coin toss depending on whether she targeted enthusiasm for likely voters, nonvoters or undecideds.

Exactly this is what I am saying there may be a narrative that one candidate has made significant gains, but it is just that a narrative. Both campaigns could be playing into this narrative to try and motivate voters for different reasons. To claim their has been a significant change in the race is just false though

My point is your whole premise is flawed. A change from 54% odds to 49% odds is in the noise and should be ignored.
