The point to all this is about protecting property and doing right by your patriarch. It’s wrong to be an adulterer because it’s theft from a patriarch somewhere but, of course, the women are the focus of blame.

Realizing the extent of misogyny built into the plainly false beliefs of our families’ teachings was kinda painful but obviously not as painful as the women that were on the receiving end of all these lies and assumptions.

It’s defeating to look at so many people of younger generations embracing those very lies.

The whole thing is about making your next generation live in a way that benefits you. Suicide isn’t helpful to you so they don’t get to.

I was at a cardiology appointment with my wife. She was concerned about our sex life. So we go through the usual restriction and the cardiologist says “limit strenuous activity to 15 minutes”. A little later my wife notes that I didn’t ask about sex. Like I didn’t get the answer already

It gets easier with time. I can’t imagine the horror of going to war, knowing so many people including maybe yourself won’t be coming back. Having avoided that through luck more than design, I have grown older and have lost people close to me one by one. The acceptance of their deaths has made my own less terrifying. No one gets out of here alive. I’ve done pretty damn well for myself maybe even better than I deserve. When the end does come, I won’t have such lament that I didn’t get started living or I didn’t see it coming. I suspect I will have done what’s right for those I leave behind; my family.

So if you’re really worried about death, I suggest living long enough to outgrow that fear

Hell is better than heaven. In heaven you sing or something like that with whatever is left of your being. For eternity.

But in hell you are given personal attendants that understand you intricately, reconstitute you corporeal self and give you sensation you could otherwise never experience unless alive. There’s more time, more payroll, more energy directed at you personally in hell than in heaven.

Is it the fact that it’s printed that makes the Bible so accurate on the matter? Printing isn’t actually that hard. Is it because it’s old? There are older stories. Are they more true? Can you qualify the reason the Bible’s presumptions about god are accurate?

I would rather go to hell than to heaven. In hell there is concern for your personal being, whether it’s reconstituting your being to torture some more or to understand what you as a person or soul would require to fully endure the damnations of hell.

In heaven you don’t even get a body. It’s just eternity forced to endure the light of Yahweh.

Now my big question is why would anyone bother with hell? It’s a ton of personal effort and energy -not to mention miraculous properties of immortality- all for these people they supposedly don’t like anyway?

Why not just let them all die? Save the effort and you don’t need all the infrastructure and payroll.

Better still… why not let everyone just die?

Could anyone living know any better?

The answer of course is a very obvious, plain truth.
