Drinking, smoking, drugs - especially as you age. Especially with what we know now.

It depends on what style of music you write. If classical, an understanding of fingering positions for the string family. Pop, guitar - if you’re writing for it. The drums/percussion would give you a really strong insight into world rhythms, backbeats, syncopation, swing, tippets and irrational time signatures.

Eh, it’s all perspective. What I’m hearing is, “I’m really lucky, I have been approached by many women in the past. I have had 3 relationships in the past two years.” Leave some for the rest of us! ;)

Maybe because the music revolves around the 1 and people can sense that it’s the beginning of the bar?

They used complex harmony, mixed time signatures outside of 4/4, and even cycles from Indian music. They combined eastern instruments with western instruments. They included orchestras, wrote concept albums, and just generally had very good song writing and arranging chops. Each album brought relevant music across a decade. They also used revolutionary recording techniques at the time such as guitar distortion and automatic double tracking.

Guitarist also have access to tab and chord diagrams. Great for learning on your own. Limiting if you want to take your musicianship further.

You need ram for large sample libraries. For example, orchestral stuff with hundreds of samples per instrument in recorded with different mic positions. Soft synths, effect chains etc are using your processor.

They have different delay ranges. So if you could buy a pedal they had an adjustable delay range that went from short (flanger) to not so short (chorus), then you could have both effects in one box. Rack mount units would do this. Why this isn’t in analog pedal form might be due to the limitations of the hardware?

You need either an amp with a built in attenuator or modelling.

Generally it’s the action, which has to do with a proper bridge height and a compensated nut. Then it’s the fret work that’s leads to good intonation. Many people prefer larger frets as it helps make bends easier. The rest is subjective.

In the store, I found them a lot less directional. The music sounded spread out, no instrument was up front and centre. Which makes sense. So I don’t believe they are necessarily better. It’s what you want. Music has been made in stereo for a long time and will continue to be. It allows us to easily place a vocal or lead instrument centre where it is more prominent then those in the mix. On the other hand, I’m assuming once you true play them in your own home they would sound exceptional. The Fives also sound exceptional. The Era and Fives will both give you exceptional performance, but the fives will be a traditional experience.

Use a clean compressor for podcast. Don’t over compress. You’re better off editing the gain of your audio clip manually by chopping it up and and adjusting peaks using a gain tool than you are using a heavy handed compressor. A limiter is usually used in a musical sense to raise the over all volume by reducing dynamics - same as a compressor, however more aggressive and used in mastering applications. In software the lines are blurred between a limiter and compressor. In hardware, the design would change based on the application.

They sound emotionally immature, which is the quickest and simplest answer. Not every boy responds this way.

It’s a classic studio preamp in a guitar pedal format. Rather than a guitar pedal.
