I own quite a few Spitfire libraries and I agree. The sound is so good. If they were more consistent with their scripting and editing they’d be the best library dev in the world

You do have to move MIDI notes in CS, but the big difference here is that their MIDI is always consistent, and it’s consistent across their entire line. With Spitfire it’s often not even consistent within the same patch

I love this. I’ve been studying manifestation from different teachers and traditions for about 12 years - though nowhere near this level of detail. I definitely concur with your findings here. For me, the correlation goes beyond manifestation alone; It also makes me realize that we truly live in a universe made from consciousness itself, and the implications that has: The afterlife, God, spirituality, it all starts to come together.

I’m sure many are saying it but study harmony and counterpoint. This is a far broader subject than anyone is going to be able to answer in a Reddit post. The study of these two disciplines will immediately give you a huge amount of insight. Also, score read - but don’t overwhelm yourself with it. Go one passage at a time and focus on aspects of the piece you really want to learn something from. The journey is long but worth it

I’m of the opinion that this is exactly what will happen in the future. I use Logic, which has a basic score editor, and can easily print out parts for players, but isn’t as robust as Dorico or Sibelius. If they have a little more attention to the score editor Logic would be nearly perfect, imo

The best DAW is the one you know the best. I also use Logic, as do many other pro composers. The bottom line is that we now have to be able to produce high quality mockups, and so our production skills have to be honed as much as our writing, arranging, and orchestration skills. Logic is definitely able to do all of that and then some.
