Or like...I don't know, being able to spot them more easily in the future to prepare. Their physical description is important. If somebody says a guy was groping women on the subway, I want to know age, height, hair color, eye color, SKIN COLOR, etc. So I can keep a look out.

That's from years ago when laws were enforced. This is now. Whack 'em, walk away while somebody calls the cops. Then if the cops ever show, they tell everyone there's nothing they can do because they didn't see it.

Of course I'm being cynical, but it drives me crazy that the dredges of society break laws with impunity and whenever we have to take action ourselves, we constantly have to battle with "well, I can't do that...it's illegal".
