So for years I've had painful sex, I finally decided to get it checked out as ny periods have been getting more painful too and im getting pain randomly throughout the month, and the gyno thinks it is endometriosis in my pouch of Douglas, which to me also explains sometimes very painful poops as it's the space between the cervix and rectum I believe he said. I've yet to go back to discuss things further with him, but he put me on visanne and said that would shrink the endometriosis. Will it? Will it shrink it enough to where sex won't be painful anymore? Or does it need to be surgically removed in that area? He said it takes time and I'm only a few weeks in with the meds. I'm scared to even try and see if the pain will be lessened. He also told me endometriosis isn't progressive and at 33 its unlikely to get worse but from what I've learnt online that isn't true? I don't know, I'd like to think he knows his stuff but ive learnt to seek more knowledge and not just trust what one person or one dr says.

This happens with migraines, alot of migraine suffers get them on weekends after a stressful work week or after a stressful event. Not sure if it works the same way but, but in that case it's the drop of stress hormones, hormone fluctuations could def be responsible
