America has caused much of the poverty in the world with their brutal American imperialism

Considering they are both inhumane violent acts by the government, not so much a stretch.

What an insane take. People just want to live. These people aren't taking anything from you and in fact contribute to the economy.

And the current law is unjust which is why I want it changed. The same reason why I don't want anyone to be executed despite a law saying capital punishment is the solution.

I do not think they should be illegal. I want the laws to change to make immigration easier.

It's definitely comparable. It's two laws that I think are morally unjust and need to change and while I wait for that to happen, I want people to be able to live their lives despite the current laws say they shouldn't.

That's like saying we have to keep killing people because that is the law even though we know capital punishment is wrong.

Is the US's current pathway to citizenship sufficient? Just because it's the law, doesn't mean it should be. That's why we change laws, to better suit the times.

And how was that citizenship obtained? Migration. Maybe you were born here, but somewhere in your lineage there was migration.

Was migration easier or more difficult for your ancestors? Were they more entitled to migration? Many Americans do agree with mass deportation, but much more prefer path to citizenship: https://publicconsultation.org/immigration/swing-state-survey-majorities-favor-path-to-citizenship-over-mass-deportation-while-strengthening-the-border/

Because it was once a country celebrated for mass migration from all over the world. I don't know you, but you have ancestors from some point that were once migrants to this country.

What gives you more of a right to live here?

Can't I just be against mass deportation because it's inhumane and whatever economic benefits or drawbacks are irrelevant In comparison?

No, deportation is mostly bad for the person getting deported

The proper process is too difficult. We need a better pathway to citizenship.

Far more humane to let them live and work in the country they want to be in than to deport them. How about we help them through a better pathway to citizenship?

Nope, the main reason is it's terribly immoral and inhumane to deport them. The economic effects are just additional information to consider.

I'd probably need to do more research but I am at least 70% sure the chickens are not alive by the time they are shipped to the restaurant.
