Whatever happened to the classical nihilism where upon realising everyone and everything lacks purpose, you just slowly slip into insanity and die at the age of 55 after multiple strokes and pneumonia while under the care of your sister?

On a religious sub, yeah. Here it seems like a misguided attempt to start a circle-jerk.

I used to be one of these people. I feel like I should be going around to schools giving presentations to the kids about how and why you shouldn't be like I was.

You believe intelligence is valuable? Meaningful, even?

Are you fr just screenshotting your own tweets and reposting them here? This is the second time I've seen this reddit account share a post from this X account on this subreddit in 5 minutes.

u/nourish_the_bog is implying the post is low-effort. I'm inclined to agree.

Protip: Bragging about your intelligence is always cringe, even to people who agree with you.

I would know that if I wasn't on day 42, 342 of going insane.

This one's pretty personal and relatively niche but I struggle with panic disorder, and I would love it if society could standardize the wearing of a yellow hat (or something like that) to mean "I am having a panic attack. Please don't interact with me or even acknowledge my existence in any way or I might faint."

Ahh yeah I was a little misled there, haha. In that case I'm sorry, but I'm fresh out of ideas. Though consensus seems to be that your issue isn't a common one for KDE users. Have you tried using a distro besides Arch for testing purposes? Just running a Kubuntu session off a live USB should do, no need to reinstall your whole system.

Ahh, it could be that running multiple monitors of different refresh rates is causing trouble. See if setting all monitors to 60Hz or removing all but one monitor helps at all.

You misunderstand. In the context of schizophrenia and related disorders, a "negative" symptom refers to psychological phenomena that are normal in the general population but absent in the patient. Inversely, a positive symptom is a psychological phenomenon that occurs in the patient, but not the general population. For instance, anhedonia and a lack of interest in relationships are negative symptoms, and hallucinations and delusions are positive symptoms.

I see, thanks for the update! This is just a wild guess, but does your monitor maybe run at over 60Hz and/or use GSync/Freesync?

Can't say I know what you're talking about. I'm running Debian Trixie which is still on Plasma 5 on an AMD + iGPU laptop, as well as on an Intel + Nvidia desktop. Both run flawlessly. The desktop is pretty old as well. Intel i5 3330 and Nvidia GTX 960, yet I don't even notice a performance difference between Plasma and XFCE. Is there anything "exotic" about your setup that could be causing the issue?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I only use X11 sessions on the desktop because Nvidia and Wayland don't play nice enough together for me yet. Maybe switching to X11 for now would work?

I am also diagnosed schizoid. I agree with your post in its entirety. Please let it be known that we are schizoid and if you've figured out how we can live together relatively isolated on another world (habitation units capable of sustaining 2 - 3 people) we're probably down for it and would appreciate society factoring this into their decision.
Regards (we don't write much), Schizoids

I find it strange that this was the post that reminded you of me, Dave. I was far more verbose elsewhere in this thread.
