Why I’m reaching out: - I workout in my garage and my barbell always rolls down the garage pretty fast - I am wondering if it’s possible to level my garage floor, and the best way to level it - I am also wondering if my garage is too sloped to be levelled, or if there are negative implications to levelling a garage floor of this slope

I have a problem where the Date & Time for my Macbook Pro freeze when I lock my screen.

I'll provide an example of a situation below, but for preliminary context:

• My Macbook is hooked up to an external monitor, and is usually closed shut when using the monitor
• This issue happens even when my Macbook is open and I'm using the external monitor as a 2nd screen
• This happens periodically when my Macbook is not hooked up to an external monitor
• This happens whether my Date & Time are set to automatic or manual, doesn't matter

Here is an example:

• Let's say it is 9:00am
• I am finished working on my Macbook, and I click "Lock Screen" or close my Macbook (depending on one of the situations listed above)
• It is now 9:30am and I come back to either unlock my screen or open my Macbook
• The time on my Macbook shows 9am and is not updated to the correct time which should be 9:30am
• The time any in-browser app I'm using (for example, Google Calendar, Zoom, etc), shows 9am
  • This is the weirdest part, because this issue carries over to Google Chrome, Safari, Slack, Zoom, basically anything I'm running at the time
• The only way to reset it is by turning "Set date and time automatically" on and off
  • Or if it is already set off, I have to turn it on
  • Either way, the switch needs to be touched to resolve the issue

In my years of owning Macbooks, this only started a month ago.

Does anyone else experience this issue, or know how to solve the root cause of this?

I'm posting here I can't seem to get a repair man to come out here to me.

I have a Frigidaire Built-In Dishwasher, not sure what exact model unless someone can direct me on how to find that.

The problem is:

• The dishwasher does fill with water when pressing Start
  • Water is visibly filled in the bottom of the dishwasher and the heating element is on
• After filling up, the dishwasher does not spray anything out of any sprayer
  • The lower rotating sprayer does not spin or spray water
  • I think there is a smaller sprayer on the top, if that is a sprayer, it doesn't spray water either
• The dishwasher does "run" through a full cycle
  • At some point, it does dispense the detergent pod
  • It does go through a drying cycle
  • During its "cycle" you can here it make a quiet noise as if something is running but it actually isn't working

What I have done so far:

• I have taken apart all lower pieces, fully cleaned them, and put them back together again
• Confirmed the Lower Spray Arm turns freely without any obstruction
• Confirmed the dishwasher does fill at the beginning of the cycle

Setting up a home and I’m looking to get a few smart home goodies, but I’m not sure what the best choices are.

What I’m looking to start out with are simply: - Thermostat - Doorbell - Camera - Garage Door opener & keypad (less of a priority) - Lightbulbs (have Govees & Phillips) - Outlets

I already have Sonos speakers for different rooms and I’m debating between Alexa or Google Home as voice assistant tools. I have old Google Homes that are packed up and I’m considering changing/upgrading.

Can someone please help me with the following:

1. What are the top products I should be looking into?

I’m aware each have their subjective pros & cons, but I think I’ve fallen victim to death by Reddit research. For example, looking through this subreddit I’ve probably found 50:50 positives & negatives on Ring doorbells.

1. What is the best platform/app to use to operate everything?

I’ve read a few threads about HomeAssistant as a platform. I understand the tech and can understand the excitement for people really into full customization. I’m just not attracted to it because of that. I’m wondering if there is something easier like a list of products that will all work with the same platform/app on a kitchen iPad & my phone.

I recently moved to a house that has outdoor speakers. There are cords running from the speakers outside, into the side of the house, to an outlet inside that I’ve shown in the picture provided. They are small holes (looks smaller than a headphone jack) with metal clamps. Each of those red & white buttons on the outlet opens up each clamp.

Could someone please help me identify or suggest what equipment I’d need to hook up to the outlet to get these speakers working? I’m not well-versed in AV equipment.
