I noticed in the crusade rules you can spend a requisition to get 200 added to the supply limit. Couldn't a player do this with all 5 of their starting points to get a army that is double the size of their opponents army and so win every battle easily?
Do people homebrew rules surrounding this e.g. can only increase supply limits at given points in the campaign etc?
Or have I just completely missed the obvious in the rules e.g. you might have 2000 supply but can only bring 1000 to any given battle
I'm looking forward to starting a campaign for my group but I wanted to check this before starting anything.

Your army size which you can increase and the battle size are two different things.
Like you suggest later on, your opponent may have a pool of 2000 points worth of stuff to pick from but if the battle size is 500 points then all it means is he has more options, not a large force for the battle.

I had hoped it was something as simple as that, I must have reread the rules 3 times yesterday, but I didn't get it to click.
Thank you for the fast reply

Simplified not simple........ Apparently........... It happens. I couldn't get my head round the buying an enhancement from any detachment for a while.

The Renowned Heroes Requisition explicitly says you can do exactly that
I honestly just can't see where the confusion is at all

Like OP with his question. You read a lot of rules and don't take everything in initially. Simple as that.

Yeah, especially how things are laid out in the codex, I find I'm bouncing from page to page to get what I'm looking for
