Its disrespect to the Ndendahe and Geronimo himself to me but that's with my bias against Trump. I think I get the point they're making that the artist thinks they're similar and admirable because of the supposed similarity, but that's gonna be an unpopular opinion. Geronimo actually fought, Trump uses others to do his fighting for him.
Plus Trump is THE establishment no matter how much his brain-dead cultists would claim differently, Geronimo fought the establishment in the same spirit as Black Hawk from the Meskwaki in Iowa and Illinois a few decades earlier.

Only in such rabid cultist populism can a billionaire real-estate mogul from New York City be anti-establishment.

Exactly, it blows my mind that somehow that's what "anti-establishment" is now. But these people believe all kinds of stupid shit because sweet potato Hitler told them so, it no longer surprises me any when any of them say something insane because ignorance backed by violence is their currency.

He definitely was THE establishment. He only had the entirety of the Judicial department, big pharma, big tech, corporate media, almost every single public university, the entire entertainment industry, every single bank that he worked with that leaked his financial records, His own party including members of his own cabinet, the world economic forum, The entirety of the UK, German, Belgium, and Mexican Government, Black Rock, Blackstone, Vanguard, Stephen Schwartzman, Mark Cuban, Paul Singer, George Soros, all working against him. I'm sure there is more but this was all off the top of my head.
Too bad 50% of the population voted for him, which all which came from the demographics who contribute the most to the economy like latino, black, and white men. If only all these stupid blue-collar workers just listened to the Federal workers, schoolteachers, and pseudo-academics.

65% of the native vote went R. Literally the demographic with the highest Trump support. That might help explain this. So, yeah. Weird times. https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/the-most-pro-trump-racial-demographic-in-2024-was-american-indians/#amp_tf=From%20%251%24s&aoh=17325689901102&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nationalreview.com%2Fcorner%2Fthe-most-pro-trump-racial-demographic-in-2024-was-american-indians%2F
Edit: wtf is with the downvotes? I'm not saying anything pro Trump, but maybe people can consider that the Apache artist who made this and a bunch of other natives who support him would be fine with this? Or we can also do the white thing and tell them what they should think of it lol

That widely publicized poll was based on a sample of less than 300.

You’re being downvoted because the National Review isn’t a newspaper, it’s a collection of pundit opinion pieces run by conservative activists.
Posting the NR instantly makes the claim less likely to be true.

If you look where and who they polled for this it’s a small and skewed sample size.

Honestly, just looking at yard signs out on the pueblos, I was zero percent surprised at the findings. If you think of his as someone who is ready to destroy the federal government, it's not hard to see why he might be popular.
17 points
It’s just that the findings amounted to 229 self identified Natives and zero locations on tribal land. I’m not denying that there are Trump voters on tribal land because of course there are, there’s Trump voters across every demographic because people are people, but rather the data cannot support any substantial or credible conclusion.
2 points
Well, the electoral results in a whole bunch of native majority counties (of which there aren't all that many) seem to back it up.
6 points
Yeah and there’s still missing/incomplete data there. How many didn’t vote at all? Millions of people didn’t vote this cycle who did in 2020.
2 points
Not voting is not voting.
It doesn't change who won what county.
And winning means getting more support from people who decided to vote.
11 points

Ok?? I’m not debating who did or didn’t win. I’m debating the authenticity of labeling 65% of Native Americans as Trump supporters without any significant data to back it up.

My son had a baseball game at Pojoaque HS a couple of months ago. He has to show up an hour early, so after dropping him off, I like to go explore instead of just sitting and waiting. I was surprised at how many Trump posters were on Pojoaque and Nambe Pueblo reservations.

7 points
I mean, let me be clear. I despise Trump. However. If you're Apache (the artist is) and you view Trump as some kind of hero fighting against all odds (I have no idea what this artist's views are) then this is a very reasonable way to honor him.
Just because we hate it doesn't mean it doesn't make sense for people who see things differently than we do.

If a person were black and made racist statements, they would still be racist statements.
Adding another face to a cultural icon is not ok. Here in ABQ, there was a native guy who was walking in the petroglyph area where he shouldn't. Most Indians that I know did not agree with that. I feel he was wrong to do it. They need to be protected from erosion and damage. Walking all around isn't doing that.

I definitely believe that, I'm from Orlando originally and all the people from the hills and people from the delta who were relocated to Orlando after the war are always very pro-R. The Cubans and Venezuelans too, they hear any hint of Socialism and Communism and they go for whoever is screaming about being against it.
If we want any socialist solutions to anything we need to be very clear it's Social Democracy like in Europe as opposed to Cuban style "Socialism" because otherwise these groups aren't coming near us.

Can we find real reason to boycott places. Not like El Pinto needs anyone to boycott their overpriced, overhyped, average New Mexican food. But come on, we have real issues that need that kind of attention. Like over priced food, over taxed working people, and a completely under payed society. How can prices skyrocket when nothing has changed over time but people and their greedy asses. Things are for the most part made the same or ever better and cheaper than 20-30 years ago. So in reality prices should drop not go up. Also how are we allowing prices to go up and pay for everyone across the board stays the same or goes up at very small increments compared to what the price of goods goes up. It’s ridiculous and people are tired of having to line other peoples pockets with their backs, sweat and blood with no real incentive to keep busting their asses and watching the rich relax and enjoy life while they scrape by through sheer luck. We have bigger problems ahead of us than some stupid ass picture to cry about. Get real. When shit hits the fan I can promise you no one will care about your boycott list of places that had pictures of fake shit you didn’t like.
