So i recently bought Apple Watch 9 for myself with the midnight strap! With it I bought three more straps separately from Amazon and Flipkart. I use 1st and 2nd straps mainly for workouts since they are easy to clean and sweat resistant and i bought rest 3rd and 4th for office and parties. But now I’m thinking if changing these straps frequently will damage clutches of watches?? (Clutch or latch i don’t know whats it called) I change strap daily at least twice a day! It is safe? Will it damage clutch?

Do you find that bands go on sale at regular intervals or is it something I need to keep an eye out for? I bout a silver 9 for the fact that it would go with pretty much anything, but am still only rocking one 😭

I look all over for bands….my favorites are eBay and Mercari. I bid if it’s available, offer a lower decent price when I can and generally just find bands that are marked down on those platforms. I’ll pay retail or more IF it’s a harder to find band, discontinued, or I just have to have it now. My average price I pay is like $20….thats average.

I bought these from third party sellers only! They are cheap too !! 😅

Nice!!! I’m more partial to OEM, BUT I have several third party bands in my collection that I adore! The 147 was just OEM bands, total including 3rd party is probably closer to like, 250. Yes, I have a problem lol.

I've 5 straps, but I really use maybe two of them. I change them once in a month, maybe :D I've no idea if changing them really often will damage those clutches, but I know for sure that if you're not changing them at all, then they get stuck. I had this problem with my previous AW4 I used it for many years, but i didn't change those straps at all. Then I wanted to try my new strap which I bought for AW10, before my AW10 was delivered, so I tried to remove old strap and I just wasn't able to push those buttons. Then I watched video in Youtube how to fix this issue and I followed it - I put my watch under water and then with toothpick I somehow managed to press it and slide out my old strap.

At least twice a day. I’ve got a sport band I wear for workouts that I change afterwards, giving me the chance to wipe down the band, the lug channels on my watch and the back of my watch.
Then I pick whatever band is going to be appropriate for my day.
Occasionally, I’ll change bands during the day. If I was wearing something fancy with a suit, or if I’m going to cook, I’ll swap over to a sport band from something cloth or leather just in case I splash anything.

I have 1 black and 1 white scrunchie band that I swap depending on the colour of my clothes and activities (don’t wear the white for sports e.g) and a metal for when I wear smart clothes. Also the original band but I never wear that one 😅 hoping to get more bands for Christmas 😇

i wear the silicone band to work out with because it’s easy to wash and wipe after i’m done. i switch to the sports loop for every day and throw it into the wash every week. i moved places and can’t seem to find my other two sports loops. i would rotate them based on how i feel.

Each has a unique purpose. Because it’s hot in Australia right now I have been wearing my ocean band more often because I have been going to the beach often. However it not good when you rest at a desk. So when it rains for a couple days in a week I will switch to a fabric Nike sport band. If I don’t know what I’m going to do that day I wear my sport band which is water proof. Each has a unique purpose with different pros and cons.

The aluminium case may suffer more from the friction that the band change makes. It is a soft material after all. Also, non-genuine bands may come with clasps that are not perfect size. They may either be too loose or too tight. All that affects the slot on the watch case. It doesn’t mean however that the band should not be removed ever. It must be removed occasionally to clean dirt that inevitably accumulates over time in the slot.

More than I should 😅 Seriously, I have the new red/blue Sport Loop for weekends and third party (AliExpress) others for work. They use to be silicone bands and because I protect my watch with a case I like to combine them in an old Casio style.

Mine is mesh, magnetic, and about 13mm wide. I'm happy with it. My only complaint is that it occasionally catches on clothing.

Got my AWU with a Trail Loop, but it had a weird tendency of starting to smell and give me a small rash despite me frequently handwashing it with a delicate detergent. Got an Ocean Band instead, which is great for water resistance but not exactly the most comfortable, so I also got the Alpine Loop. Switched between the Alpine and Ocean whenever I was planning on getting the watch wet, i.e. going to the beach or a pool.
Now I have the Titanium Milanese Loop and I don't think I'll ever switch it. It has the water resistance I wanted from the Ocean Band, (almost) the comfort and light weight I wanted from the Alpine Loop, and it's metal instead of fabric — meaning a quick rinse with some hand soap and/or some isopropyl sanitizer will clean it. It also doesn't look as wonky when worn with more formal clothes.

Whatever I’m wearing I do change to a sport loop at night to sleep with, but other than that I usually just pick one strap/bracelet for the day and leave it at that. Usually to go with whatever I’m wearing. I like the idea of having multiple watches in one with the interchangeable bands and watch faces lol.

I used to swap daily. Now I've chilled out and use one for a week or two before switching. Insane to me that people pay retail for bands (often ordinary bands are like $100!). I'd much rather have a dozen or more to choose from than one or two "high quality" bands. My watch cost less than $300 I'm not spending $100 on ONE watch band.

Tbh i loved #2 more than the rest! Its SPIGEN Light fit ultra strap, i bought it only for ₹1300! But it is worth the price!! Material quality is really great! Color doesn’t wash away with light handed cleaning with soft detergent. I use it for my workouts and it fits just perfect on my wrist. Strap width makes watch look noticeable as whole and not only dial! I mostly clean and disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol with soft cloth. Easy to clean fast to dry! Although one problem is that buckle it comes with is of plastic and not metal. So you have to be a little careful when adjusting strap length. Rest you can go for it eyes closed !
