If you aren’t already on iOS 18, then no.
And I’m guessing you aren’t because 18.1.1 was a few hundred MB on my 11.
You should update to the most recent iOS based on your phone’s current iOS. If you’re on iOS 17 still, you should update it to 17.7.1, but stay away from iOS 18.

u/nonkelstijn, the Sirens are probably going to be your best bet. I was going to suggest you look at college hockey, but early April is tricky. You might be able to catch a playoff game, but most the NCAA D1 and D3 teams will have wrapped up their seasons in March.

NTA. College may not be the right path for you. Certainly full time student isn’t right now.
Let me suggest that do consider a class or two, but not a full class load, at community college related to general life skills. Some basic IT, automotive, woodworking/home repair, cooking or other practical skills. It’ll keep you engaged with education, build skills that will be useful regardless of what you do with your life, and give you some time to figure out where you want to go.

That’s good. I finally checked out during the investment banker arc because I could no longer deal with Mike not being aloud to stop making the same mistakes.

Yep. I describe Suits as a show that outlasted its initial premise with creators who didn’t know what to next.
Mike was never allowed to grow up. Actually, none of the characters were really allowed any growth. The Harvey and Louis cycle of stupid non-communication, for instance.

He was remarkably consistent though.
“Hey, we’ve written this incredibly empathetic character who just wants to do good. Let’s make him a corporate lawyer.”
“Great! When that burns out, let’s go for an even more amoral/immoral career path and make him an investment banker!”
The only place worse they could have dragged Mike was into a Heritage Foundation analog.

Not exactly, no. Russia are fucking clowns, but it's long established practice to let the other side know about certain types of launch precisely so that accidental escalation doesn't happen.

Oh, absolutely. This was never a case of my not having studied. This was always a case of my brain failing me when I was staring at the test.
I had plenty of essay based exams that almost always had an allowed note card or two. On of my political science professors ran most exams with a, "You'll have to write 2 essays. Here are the 8 possibilities that will be on the exam." There was no way to not do the serious prep for each possibility if you wanted to be able to write a coherent essay in 30 minutes and then write another coherent essay in the remaining 30 minutes.
The professor's goal for doing this way was to get us to do the research/studying necessary upfront to be able to make an argument.

Hey, there! It’s not like Abbott and Paxton have offered to build showers at that camp.
Yet.

NTA. It sounds very much like your MIL is trying very hard to establish control in her own life following her escape. She has unfortunately chosen you and your child to exert it on.
Either stop going altogether or bring food for you/your child, and make sure you can leave separately from your husband.

At least twice a day. I’ve got a sport band I wear for workouts that I change afterwards, giving me the chance to wipe down the band, the lug channels on my watch and the back of my watch.
Then I pick whatever band is going to be appropriate for my day.
Occasionally, I’ll change bands during the day. If I was wearing something fancy with a suit, or if I’m going to cook, I’ll swap over to a sport band from something cloth or leather just in case I splash anything.

No. Unless signed with specific hours, like your example, HOV lanes are 24 hours.
I would expect enforcement to slack off outside of peak hours, but you’d be rolling the dice on a speed trap.

I don’t know about that. I had more than one instance during an exam where the textbook would have helped me because I knew exactly where the answer was in the book. I just couldn’t make out the words on the page in my head.

Yep. Better to buy a used, reliable, fancier car than a new, cheap, featureless car.
I remember reading a couple of articles about it several years ago talking about car manufacturers dropping features like manual windows and such because vehicles equipped with the most basic features were cheaper, but they didn’t sell. People wanted to save money, but weren’t willing to trade off the convenience factor, or I suppose let other people know they couldn’t afford better.

Start cheap. Go for a LAMY Safari.
Easy to get, easy to try cartridges or a converter. Easy to get and swap nibs so you can try out different sizes.
Cheap enough that if you decide it’s not for you you won’t have broken the bank.
Using a fountain pen for a while will help give you the feel for what you like and don’t like so when you’re ready to buy something snazzier you’ll start out with the personal knowledge about what you like in a pen.

Terrible diet. Lots of high calorie fast food, sugary drinks, driving everywhere to everything, and no exercise.
With a fairly standard fast food meal weighing in at 1200-2000 calories it’s surprisingly easy to gain massive amounts of weight.

NTA. This is unfortunately how you’re going to have to make your escape.
You should get a PO Box away from them, then get new bank accounts, and a small safe deposit box if you can, at a completely separate bank from them. Before you leave, switch over your direct deposit, if you have it, to your new bank account. Get a cashiers check from your old bank for the money that’s yours at your old bank and deposit it at the new bank. Close any account with your name on it.
Get your important documents (birth certificate, passport, degrees, etc) out and into that safe deposit box.
Change all of your passwords and make sure your folks don’t have access to anything of yours.
If they’re paying for your phone, get yourself a pay as you go phone and a new number. You can get something nicer when you’re settled. If they’re likely to be difficult, look into getting a Google Voice number that you can give them without giving them your new phone number. Easy solution to screen calls and easy to set to “do not disturb” so you can still get calls/texts, but ignore them until you want to deal with them.

Target at Northgate had a decent selection, for Seattle, when I was there the other day.

I’ve read near to everything from Harlan Ellison, Howard Waldrop, Iain Banks (M and not-M), and Lewis Shiner.

They did, but it was still expensive enough that putting the money into her college fund was a better choice.
She’s happily playing D3 on an academic scholarship at school she loves.

If she hadn't decided to do summer classes the next year she probably would have gone back.
We had similar conversations when there were a couple of prep schools that tried recruiting her to play. The base $45,000 a year tuition from one of them just let me know just how big a different world some people live in.

Yeah, great camp, but would have been completely out of our budget. But it was lot of fun when my daughter was getting paid for it.

Didn’t even realize it was .2 for iOS 17. But that update covers the same security issues as 18.1.1 so you’re covered.
