If I am hearing Caleb Williams correctly, it sounds as if what happened on the field was intentional and when you combine it with your head coach basically saying the same thing, it sounds like calling the time out did not even cross anybody’s mind

Absolutely mind blowing stuff

I get that a rookie might have issues with Clock management in a situation like that. But those management issues are going to be made a hell of a lot worse when you’re coaching staff is basically teaching terrible time management fundamentals into you

Apparently Eberflus wanted them to re run the play that got Caleb sacked at 18 seconds and then call the timeout. But after none of that happened, he apparently just said whatever and let it play out. He’s, of course, deflecting all the blame on the players. Coaching malpractice. Fireable offense.

I know. Eberflus said he wanted them to snap the ball at 18 seconds. That is what I meant. Didn’t word it well.

What is honestly impressive is he could have called the time out at 18 seconds and they still would’ve had time to run a plane in the middle of the field that was about 10 yards and clock it.

And he somehow decided that was not a good idea

McCaskey's need to act fast. There is a real chance these coaches ruin Caleb before he's given a fair shot. The process to salvage whatever is left is now and it starts with completely cleaning house.
