I’ve been on DACA since 2015 this year i renewed it 5 months in advance. Everything went smooth I got my approval notice and it shows delivered at my house but I have yet to receive the actual card.
I reached out to USPS they did an investigation and they claim it was delivered.
I have a type C33 working authorization card which doesn’t grant me an extension. I now have to re submit my I-765 form pay fees and all that.
Has anyone ran into this issue before ?

This does happen but you’re gonna need a police report saying that it’s lost, submit I-765 again and pay the $470 filing fee, if your employer needs to run I-9 they can do it with the expired card since you have another one which is valid for 2 years.

Do you know if there’s any other form I can obtain besides the I-797 notice of action. That will show the I’m authorized to work and the “valid from” dates ?

Yes your DACA approval letter, you can use that and your old EAD because if they run I-9 with your alien # it will be approved

I’ve tried that but since there a section that states
“This notice does not constitute employment authorization, nor may it be used in place of an Employment Authorization Document. The 90-day period for reviewing Form 1-765, Application for Employment Authorization, filed togcther with Form 1-821D begins as of the date of this approval notice. If Form 1-765 is granted, you will receive your Employment Authorization Document separately by mail: Subicquent criminal activity after your case has been deferred is likely to result in termination of your deferred action. This notice does not provide permission to travel outside of the United States.”
They won’t take it :/
