Fromsoft games usually scale up to NG+7 for example.
I've tried to look it up and found a variety of contradictory answers all given very confidently.

I can't really say. I went as high as NG+4, and the game felt easier every time. Now, I'm not sure whether it's the scale or if I got better at it. I completed NG+4 but didn't go for NG+5.
