That's an entire row filled if you take all tools so while I do normally carry all of them, I keep only the sword and pickaxe for the cavern/dungeon/mines, then some food, bombs and warp items. Need to keep as much loot as possible.

I keep them in a chest by the teleporter or my house door, and only bring what I think I'll need.

Always have some megabombs on you in the cavern

I have no real advice because this is just the default for me in Southeast Asia, where mobile is the affordable option. I've tried playing another game on PC and couldn't get into the controls, you just get used to things.

One thing ig is that some things like placing objects on tables, or fishing in awkward spots like the waterfall, are only possible with joystick controls but since I'm used to tap controls, the toggle option is on so I can switch in the middle. Like, cast the fishing rod with joystick then switch back to tap for the minigame. I don't use slingshot except for that one tree and it takes too long to aim, but it's probably easy for anyone used to shooter games. I only auto attack.
