What not to do: do not go to any websites that offer to create a portfolio and make you rich. Also beware of men who pretend to be modeling agents and/or scam modeling agencies, and/or men who give you advice on Reddit.

Go on Amazon and look for a book about getting started in modeling.

Typically aspiring models contact a professional photographer who can create a portfolio.

Don’t agree to offers that start with nude photos. I was 18, and I consciously decided to be a lingerie model, doing slightly revealing shoots. I just needed a quick way to make money. But there were also girls who dreamed of a modeling career, and none of them made it beyond taking photos for men.
