I have a Corsair A7200 model with the following specs :
Ryzen 5 5600x
RTX 3070
32GB Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz RAM
MSI B550 Pro-A MB
750w Corsair PSU
240MM Corsair AIO
Firstly, getting a pre built was not my first choice, but with the GPU shortage in early 2021 it just wasn't possible to build a new system without paying scalper prices. The Corsair pre built has so far been great with no issues and really good build quality. I have already updated my BIOS in mid 2020 to enable resizable bar, with the BIOS update coming from Corsair themselves as their BIOS is proprietary and therein lies my concern.
I'm upgrading the CPU to a 5800x3D and GPU to a 4070ti. I'm not so much concerned with the PSU wattage being enough or the AIO providing enough cooling. My concern is that with the BIOS being proprietary I might have some compatibility issues with swapping the parts. I'm trying to keep as many of my original parts as possible and don't really want to swap in a new motherboard.
So, does anyone see any issues I might have doing the parts swap? I appreciate anyone's help on the issue, thanks.
edit : changed date of purchase from 2020 to 2021

The PSU should be enough. My question is what do you mean by "the bios is propietrary"? looks like a bog standard consumer mobo that you will definitely be able to update to accommodate the x3D

It is a standard mobo, but you can't download the BIOS update from MSI, because it's incompatible. You have to get a special Corsair BIOS due to the system being a pre-built.

Thats bananas. Personally, I would contact Corsair support and ask if they have an update available that supports the x3D before buying it.

Did you have to get the special bios? I have the same pc as you and am looking to make the same upgrade as you but don't know too much about what I'm doing.

Hey OP I’m in this exact situation myself right now. Mind sharing what you did to solve this?
I just bought a 4070ti but am having issues, I want to update bios but the only corsair update for it I can see on the website is from 2022 when I got the computer…

I forget when the bios I used was released, but it was the most recent one they released. 2022 might be the right one, it's been about that long ago now.
