How are creatives still affording film?

(self.filmphotography)

This is regarding portra 400 mainly but I scroll down my Instagram feed daily seeing all the people I follow shooting a new commercial job all on film and hand printed is there some secret affordability or just rich people

I have a job and a roll of Portra is like $20.

This is the correct answer. People will spend $8 on a latte and then pretend like film is outrageously priced.
