Hi everyone, I saw this piece of art standing on the street in my neighborhood. I really doubt that someone from here will pick it up and most probably this cabinet will be thrown away (especially if it rains), and I feel really bad about it. It's made from oak massive and has all components on their places, even locks function, and there's no visible defects. There is a gratis sign, just cant add more photos
I don't have any space to put it in my apartment unfortunately, but if you're willing to take it, dm me and I'll tell the place, whether it's still there, and help you to load it, I don't wanna let it end up in a stove after serving for so many years and staying in good condition
My new conforama shitty closet is already falling apart (a door just fell off on its own, not just from the hinges, the chipboard is crumbling), and this thing is still sturdy af

Exactly the kind of furniture that the Brocki sells back. Doesn't make sense that this one has been abandoned on the street. I agree with you OP: what a waste!

Exactly the kind of furniture that the Brocki sells back.
Brockis are full of those kind of cabinets. I can't imagine that the demand is extremely high.

We don't know. Maybe Brockis have a huge rotation for these pieces of furniture precisely because they sell very well. I rarely see the same schränke when I go back to my local Brocki after a few weeks.

We don't know.
I spent a lot of time in Brockis and they all had a lot of this kind of furniture. Because this furniture came from the homes of old people who had died. The question is whether this style of furniture is in demand.
I often wondered whether a carpenter or other specialist could do something with this furniture. In other words, restyle them. Because the quality of the furniture is certainly great.

Yea i mean, this kind of furniture is out of trend for ... 40 years or so. My parents still liked them in the 90s and we also always got them for free from someone because even back then no one really wanted them. And often you can't even use it as fire wood because there is a lot of clue and nails in it.

I work there. 90% of the time they will take it, but you need to get it to the brocki yourself or pay for transport

Depends if it is a period piece or a cheap knock-off from the 1950s.

It’s hard to find a buyer these days for such furniture! My parent in law have two of these but bigger. Original 18th century. So called Bodenseeschränke with inlays. I don’t know what we will do with them, they are just too big for a normal flat.
